A great contributor for whom the time to move on has arrived. We've progressed as a club and have aspirations beyond the lower half of the Prem or the upper half of the Championship which, really, is Jedi's natural level. That's why no top team signed him before he came to us (even thought they looked at him); he does what it says on the tin but he's just a step short of being real quality. But he was perfect for us at the time he joined. Also, not really a player suited to a reserve role. Needs to be in the thick of things. Jedi would be a perfect signing for someone like Villa. Make him captain and build a team for next year around him. Exactly the sort of leader they need. Will always be a Palace hero and always welcome back at Selhurst.
Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God. |

Syd I agree with the general thrust of your post.Jedinak has been really good for us but time has moved on and he is not for us at the present time.I'm sure he will always get a good welcome back at 'Selhurst Park'.

The bloke is a f***ing legend who we owe a massive debt to. We would not be where we are today without his steel. I worry that with him gone, that if a few bad results set in as they have now, then we don't have anyone to grab the team by the scruff of the neck and scream "no! We're not having this"

We have little strength is depth and so you think it's good idea to sell someone who we can use when we need him.

I agree with dolphin he's good cover for the two defensive midfielders. Definitely let Mutch go out of all of them. I imagine Jedi has a great training ground and dressing room effect. Shame to lose someone with a lot of fight and spirit.

I think he needs to be playing regularly or not at all. When he comes on as sub or starts the odd game he seems to take a long time to adjust. If you look at his body language he also seems to have lost some of that 300 spirit, which is what makes him special. Again, I think he needs to be regularly starting to feel the passion. I love Jedi, but I'm not convinced he fits with what Pards is aiming for and I think we need someone who can do more than just break up attacks and give a physical presence. Cabaye does a great job of breaking up attacks but can also produce sublime passes and is confident on the ball. Without there being any injuries to JM or JC I can't see him making more than the odd appearance, so perhaps it is the time to move him on?

He is a leader, and the backbone of this squad, you need people like him around to give others a belief that we can and will overcome.I do not want to loose him,and feel that he is still very important to this sqaud.
