Can't imagine us putting in a £15 million bid for a £35 million player and them going 'Yeah, why not'

Can't imagine us putting in a £15 million bid for a £35 million player and them going 'Yeah, why not' Even if we could come up with the cash, which I would think is highly unlikely, why would any player with this kind of potential swap a club like Olympique de Marseille for Palace, when he could have the choice of some of the biggest clubs in Europe, if he wants a move? With the best will in the world we can't offer anything like what the clubs we'd be competing against can. I love our club as much as any other supporter but I'd have to question the common sense of any player in his position who chose us over his current or some of those other 'interested' clubs.

Apparently we are after this young striker. Does anyone know much about him apart from what the link says? His stats look good but can he do it in the prem? Hopefully if we sign him we can get rid of Campbell and keep Gayle, Wickham and Chamakh! [Link] The guy if f@ucking mustard. Seen him play for Belgium and he looks the real thing. No smoke without fire! The South London club smashed their transfer record in the summer to land £10m Yohan Cabaye from Paris Saint-Germain in what was viewed as one of the most shocking transfers in Premier League history Bloody hell, it's not like we're Accrington Stanley signing Messi!

This is the type of striker I wish we got in the summer transfer window. I had big expectations after Cabaye. I think we will pay the money, its a question of whether he would prefer to play for a bigger club if they get involved. Fingers crossed!

Cabaye was out of favour at PSG and is nearly 30. He didn't have the variety of options Batshuayi would have, supposing he even wants a move.

Don't shoot the messenger but was having a beer with a Marseille fan today who is over from France for Christmas. He absolutely hates this player. Said he would be very pleased to see us take him off of their hands. Said he has the body language of a spoilt child and plays with no passion or desire. Said he also has 6 shots before putting one away and this is from scoring positions. Said his goals are generally ugly as well, which I laughed at as it is so typically French to wish for only beautiful goals.

I always take what 'fans' say with a huge pinch to be honest...look at some of the morons who appraise our players on here
