We needed to move Bamford up the pecking order so with Glenn leaving it will put him nearer the team. He came here to test himself in the Prem and we need to find out if he is up to it. If he is not then we will be in the market in January

Only Gayle actually scores goals and he doesn't fit into the system. Should have kept Murray.

Let's keep the ball this season!

im not happy to have sold Murray and possibly gayle and jedinak and we sign nobody. I thought there was a chance of getting Austin. Why sell them knowing we are not getting anyone in as cover. We are screwed if sako wilf or bolaise get injured. With very little cover. And no proven strikers. Bad business today !!!

Are you feeling better now you've changed your tampon?

grumpy,SE?

I'm not saying we did bad business at all. But I think our expectations of what we could get in fell by the way side. And if the fab signings we got in, if they get injured we have little of no cover.
As for my tampon.... It just blew up.... Very messy ! Lmao

Bloody hell mate. Literally!

I hate the pure idiocy of a worryingly high proportion of football fans.

Totally agree boys. Cabaye and Sako have already proved they're a handful, we kept hold of Bolasie and probably Gayle and Jedinak. Just because we don't splash millions last minute doesn't mean bad business. We spent wisely and early this year and 3 wins out of 4 in the prem speaks volumes.
Also Mouriniho saying on Saturday that he thought Chelski deserved a draw?? Never thought I'd hear them words anytime soon!!

We did great business way before deadline day this year.

David Pleat called out the Sako deal as the best signing of the summer on Radio 5 Live a few minutes ago.

Yes. And the BBC website just gave me a choice of 10 signings this summer and asked me to vote for which was best, and Sako wasn't on the list at all. And it's not as if they'd excluded free transfers because that Swansea bloke was on it.

I reckon Sako is going to do some serious damage this season.

Christ, you'd think we've just let our starting lineup v Chelsea walk out on a free. We've kept all our big guns and clearly have funds to strengthen in Jan if needed. Try enjoying success ,maybe.

Nonsense.

Wickham, Campbell, Gayle, Chamakh, Bamford and Bolasie can all play no 9.

If we'd have signed Bamford on a permanent deal at 1759 after his season last year we'd all be creaming our white cotton panties.

We did our business early and sensibly but we are not Man City; an offer like that for a player on the bench is too good to turn down.

Indeed - nor did we do any last minute bargain basement business for the sake of it a la Kuqi or Fryers....I can see us warming targets for January - i think our top target is still Remy and we are playing the long game

We sign nobody? So who are the new players looking good this season? Who scored and assisted the winner against Chelsea?

Murray and Gayle would have been on the bench every game so me of them went.

We've still got cover and a pretty decent squad to last us until Jan! Dunno what all the moaning is about...
