That's amazing, 4,500 is a huge crowd ! Best of luck to Hereford, and of course wishing you blessings of the stream gods When I went to see Hereford play at home to Colchester in the FA Cup 2nd Round in 2009 (0-1) the crowd was 2,225.

Hereford F.C. will be playing at Wembley in May in the FA Vase final. They beat Salisbury 3-1 on aggregate in the Semi-final. Not bad for their first season. Something Hereford United didn't quite manage to do in their 90 years of existence. Fair to say the city is buzzing and that I'll have less traffic to negotiate in town on the day of the final :-)

Quick update on how Hereford FC are doing. After promotion last year they are now playing in the Southern League - South and West Division. They have started well and have won 8 and drawn 1 of their opening 9 league games and sit top of the league. Their only draw came away from home and was the first time they had dropped any points at all on the road for over a year since being held to a draw in August of last season away to Westfields (a team based about 500 yards from Edgar St!). They have also progressed in the FA Cup and are away in Tonbridge , Kent this Saturday in the 3rd Qualifying Round. Their support has stayed consistent with last season , last weekend in a league game away at Tiverton Town over 650 supporters made the 240 mile round trip and on Tuesday night over 2300 watched them defeat Slimbridge 3-0.

Site for league table - See you are only three divisions from the big non league division - Football Conference but I suppose its 'one match at a time'. Good luck to you in the match away to Tonbridge in the FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round.
The pyramid to beat all pyramids!! Find out what team is in which division, eg which division is Coppull United in? |

Well, quick update as we start a new year. Hereford are still sitting top of the Southern League Division 1 South and West having won 20 and drawn 3 of their 23 league games to date. Their support is still remaining unbelievably strong for this level. Last week they took 1500 to a team called Bishops Cleeve. Today they are at home to Evesham United and they are expecting a crowd of over 4000. To put it in perspective today the two biggest clubs pin the neighbouring county of Worcestershire meet each other - Kidderminster Harriers and Worcester City, they play two leagues higher and will probably have well over a thousand less in attendance added to the fact that the Hereford attendance will be almost entirely home supporters. Looking almost certain that they'll get promotion this season and another step closer to their dream of a return to the football league.

I got it a little wrong, Kidderminster beat Worcester yesterday and weren't playing today, out was in front of 2700 fans. Today Hereford beat Evesham 2-1 in front of a crowd of 4406 beating the club's league record by just over 100 which was last season in the city derby against Westfields. Not bad at all for the 8th tier! Better than 8 attendances in League 2, over a thousand more than at Oldham in League 1 and not too far behind the crowd at Burton v Preston in the Championship!
