Immigration into our country is too high due to the 'freedom of movement' aspect...First signed in by Thatcher in 92 but then fully implemented with obstacles removed by Labour in 2004. The Tories set reasonable border control rules for non EU peoples coming into the country.....But our population is increasing at an unsustainable rate for our finances to cope.....This leads to a worse deal for Britain's working classes. Every country in the world should retain control over its own borders. The implementation of that control should always be upon a legal footing within our own laws or agreed international laws.....But ultimately decided upon by parliament and hence subject to electoral judgement.

Of interest, it would be helpful if posters could start by defining what they think immigration is. Are you talking about anyone coming here to live, whether legally or not, of any nationality and for any reason? If, on the other hand, you are talking about specific groups, nationalities, races, then please do say so up front. Saves so much time.

What about our home grown spongers? Can we deport them also? Yeah what about Bercow and his £130 cab ride up the road a distance which would be embarrassing to admit you didn't walk

If we're getting rid of people, lets start with the left wingers And go back to hoof ball through the middle or just play it through the right wing? I don't think you have thought this through.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

If we're getting rid of people, lets start with the left wingers So,Tom below is the forum rule:
And here's two of tonights posts. "Well we could use a few as slave labour but other than that I can't see any positives in having them here. "My solution to this problem is to send the SAS in and machine gun all the 'I come England, lots of money' brigade. Machine gun the vermin, burn their camps to the ground and deny all knowledge. Which "left wingers" on here are you suggesting have posted something remotely equivalent or (given you say start with them) worse?
Edited by legaleagle (03 Aug 2015 11.41pm) Lol - wow Legal, I was only making a flippant remark to see if I would get a bite and you took the bait my friend!

Nothing wrong with controlled immigration. I personally think we should adopt a mix of the Australian criteria whilst honouring our responsibilities to the (former) Commonwealth.

Freedom of movement is enshrined in the Treaty of Rome and it is somewhat forgotten that Thatcher was involved in taking the bill through the HoC when the UK joined the Common Market. It was extended in 1986 with the Single European Act which passed under Thatchers premiership. Most of the modern EU is a creation of Thatchers
