Jose is 33 now, I know Utd signed Zlatan, but I doubt they would sign him at this stage of his career. Think he is more likely being lined up for a reunion with Koeman.

Always been 5/2 with PP but more interestingly 33/1 with Skybet yesterday but 7/4 now? Seems all the money is for him joining us but could be something of nothing!

It would seem a bit of a strange move, but he knows the club and the area and so if he's just looking for one last big pay day then it might not be as unrealistic as perhaps we might think. He must be looking for quite a bit more if Saints aren't paying up as he's been one of their best players and is their club captain.

It might not be long term but I for one would love to have him back.

Its realistic he could come to us if Everton and Man United are the only other options for him.
1. If he comes to us he knows he'll play.
2. If he signs for either of the other two clubs they will offer him a short term deal because of his age. We may well offer him 3 years of security to clinch the deal taking him to 37. Lots of players have gone on longer than that. Nesta was 42 when he finally packed it in and he was a top centre half right up to his final appearance.
3. He may not have to move/uproot his family to come to us. If his kids are settled in schools etc that cannot be underrestimated
