All the Austin hype in the media has distracted away rumours from Remy, could we be in negotiations on the quiet. Just a thought ?

and now Fred Davis will try for the pink, for those watching in black n white its just behind the green..........

Hmmm Austin and Remy are both class,if i had the choice of paying £15 mil for Austin or £ 7 mil for Remy

i'd rather pay £7 mil for Remy.

Wow, people saying Austin is a 'no-brainer' over Remy are bizarre. Remy has scored goals at the top level for a number of years, is a French international and just an all round better player.

Austin has had one good season at the top level. Remy every time!

Cabaye playing balls into Remy is a very very exciting prospect.

question is does Remy want to ply his trade in one of the best leagues in the world or the Turkish league?

not a tough choice Loic come to us.

we've even got two Eifal towers

Given a choice between playing in Turkey or in England; then I really do expect Remy to go for the option of joining Palace.

Given that he'll be noticed more here (than playing in Turkey) ahead of the Euros in 2016 and his previous connection of playing for Pardew and with Cabaye.

what it comes down to for me is Austin can't dribble or take players on and get past them.

that even if only occasionally. ...should be a part of a game for any striker costing this much money.

I know wingers do that and attacking midfielders, but surely at this price you expect your money spent on a striker who does a bit of everything ...ie Remy. ..or my old comparison. ..matt jansen

Its a real tribute to how far we've come in five seasons that this thread isn't a flight of fancy.

My personal preference would be Austin on the rather subjective grounds that he seems more like a "Palace sort of player". However, its like being asked to choose between an Jaguar and a BMW - either would be brilliant!

Loic Remy over Charlie Austin anyday,Why ? Because Remy is a seasoned Full French International and is only 28 yrs old what experience and quality he would bring to this Palace Squad/Team.

Another reason is his relationship playing in front of Yohan Cabaye in the French team would bring another exciting attacking option to Palace's Play they would be on the same wavelength !!

Our other strikers at the club would benifit from this,so for SP,CPFC 2010 and AP this is a no brainer !!! and at £7 Million for Remy it is a steal.

Anxiously Awaiting this Deal to be Done (HOPEFULLY)

COYE !!!!!!

Put a gun to my head and I would say Remy.

Take the gun away and I would say neither.

I have a sneaky feeling that negotiations may be going on with other player/s while we speak. Players who will be equal or better than our subjects here.

You heard it here first peeps.

I don't see Remy going for £7m, £12m minimum. I'd be quite happy with both but if we were to pay £15m for one, I'd prefer Remy. However if we were to get Austin on cash plus players, I'd prefer Austin.
