Hoof Hearted 26 May 15 11.10am

Great entertainment and a fantastic victory..... but one swallow doesn't make a summer.

We need to consolidate and still up our game to get close to beating the Aussies.

Went to Lords yesterday, only £10 for us old'uns,at times the place was rocking almost like Selhurst....well almost. It certainly was a day to remember, early wickets for England then a good quick stand of 100+ between Williamson and Watling,at that time all that was required was five an over with McCallum to come, luckily for England he got a golden and after that we bowled really well and the catch at the end by Mooen Ali to win the match was amazing.

Only a few days until the next one, who the feck decided on just 2 test though?

And we've employed an Aussie superbike rider as our new coach

I'd like to say it's the brave new dawn of English one-day cricket, and there'll be another 400 along shortly (however, I suspect normal service will be resumed shortly).

A change of mindset is required (and hopefully has begun). I was listening on the radio, and Alec Stewart said "we should be aiming at 350 here, or at least 330" - that was when we were on 190+ with 20+ overs left. I was screaming in my head at him "no, 400 is on here" that's exactly what has been wrong with the English game for years - pick a 'good' score and go for that, even if a far better one is on the cards.

I just can't get into the ODIs.

It's all about the test matches for me.

I can when we play like that.

Amused me that Rashid is our highest wicket taking leg spinner, after only getting his first wickets yesterday.

We have seemingly decided that an ODI is now just a long 20/20 match.

Thank f***.

What a tremendous series this has been with the batsmen firmly on top.

The whole tour has been ridiculously entertaining.

Really shows how poor Peter Moores was in the role too.
