Bristol City Council are trying to build a Metro Bus Link at Stapleton which has met the usual NIMBY and Greens resistance as it involves felling trees. The case has already cost the Council hundreds of thousands of pounds and a further hefty cost to remove the protestors. Now it's still costing money to keep 20+ guards on the site night and day with generators for lights. I wouldn't mind but the Metro Bus will take 100's of cars off the roads round here and it will be a lot greener! Also the protestors have no consideration for us residents who have to foot the bill for their class war antics.
