Peter Nicholas was loaned back via Arsenal, or was it Aberdeen. Just as effective as before he left. But the one player we may all have forgotten and who went onto great things was John Fashanu (?). His brother Justine) was pulling up trees at Norwich and, I think, won an England cap. But John could do nothing and wandered round the league, stopping on at Spammers and Palace and some others. Then he went to the OOlighans in SE14 and took off, then joining Wimpleton for big money and the rest was history. Didn't do much for Palace though, looking clumsy and more of a boxer.

Ashley Cole stood out when he joined as a loanee even though he hadn't broken in to the Arsenal 1st team at the time.

However, Paul Stewart did make a difference in that 93/94 Championship winning team.

Cole has the edge as he would have been a great addition to the team if only Arsenal had accepted Steve Coppell's offer!

Supporting Crystal Palace since 19.45 on 29th August 1972 (approximately)!

Cameron Jerome. Not beautiful, not prolific but a work horse and played an instrumental role in a historic season earning a second successive season in the premiership.

i thought the story went that we never made a bid we couldnt as we were in admin...tho we had an option to buy him for around 750k but couldnt afford biscuits in the media room let alone a new signing.
