He's been fantastic, some people on this thread are not living on planet earth if they think he can be easily replaced. His level of player was an absolute coup for a club of our stature.

Fully agree, Guy is class and works his socks off. Have never seen a forward win so many headers when defending corners too. Would be a big loss but believe he isn't going anywhere.

from a tax perspective with frances 75% tax rate, he will be taking more to the bank staying put.

It's nothing like that, see here [Link]

I don't know how easy to replace Champers would be, but if he goes it will be a pity. His little nudges and flicks are good to watch and I think there is a goal more in him. He's no fool, he'll stay because he knows what's offer here, and its not just wages.

Is that correct. I thought the 75% tax was passed by court a while ago and applied in the last tax year as well as in this tax year?

No it is 75%. When you add on the social security charges anyone earning over €1m will have a 75% tax on income.

Can't believe some people are undermining Chamakh's ability... One of the most quality footballers ever to grace the Selhurst Park pitch

Im going to find life in the prem so frustrating, players like chamakh are suddenly easily replaceable. So glad the lads at the back of the aw are positive.

The highest tax rate in France is 49% and you need to earn more than €500k per year to be in that rate.

It is irritating aint it. One season in the prem and we can suddenly have any player in the world. Chamakh is as close in quality to Lombardo we will ever get in my opinion.

Chamakh is top class, he works hard and always puts in a shift. Hope he does stay.
