Fulham beating us 4-1. What a different season we would have had if we had won.
What they said!!! I think that's why we let them have a point last game, because in giving us a good hiding they did us a right favour

quite a lot really, but the way Bolasie kept on improving as the season progressed, i was willing him to score in those last two games, what a great season overall

Team Performance: I think beating then top-of-the-league Chelsea, just edges out the Liverpool result for me (although, I went absolutely mental when the second Gayle goal went in). Beating Chelsea seemed like such a turning point, at the time. I think that was when I realistically started thinking that we would be able to stay up. And getting to see Ward beat two Chelsea players and then start doing step-overs was the icing on the cake. Individual: I think a lot of Dwight Gayle's goals were impressive. Great to see him go on a scoring run late in the season. Personally: Screaming abuse at Tim Howard from the Holmesdale and getting (an admittedly subdued) reaction.

My TOP TEN 1. Home win versus Chelsea. From here stemmed real belief by the players that they belonged in this league. 2. Liverpool game. It was 03:30 in the morning, I was dog tired and we were losing 0-3 with fifteen minutes to play. The attraction of going to bed loomed large but something kept me on the settee - thank goodness. 3. Gayle in the last two games ramming my words down my throat with his four goals. I hope he pushes on now as I will never have been so happy to be proved wrong. 4. The massive improvement in Bolasie from January onwards. 5. The constant towering strength that is Jedi. 6. Puncheon turning THAT penalty miss in to a positive. 7. DD every single game giving everything he has and more besides. 8. Jules saves - at least one great save every game from January on. 9. Ward proving to be Mr. Reliable wherever he was played. 10. Chamakh just oozing class and running his socks off as well. These are off the top of my head - I can easily think of another fifty or so. GREAT season.

At that stage of the season the 0-2 against Arsenal was one of the best atmospheres and gutsy performances at Selhurst. I was in the Arthur and the whole stand was up and singing and willing the team on to score. Even when they went 0-2 up to kill the game there was still the 'f*ck you' attitude from the crowd cos we knew we'd given them a good run for their money and the only different between the teams was that we didn't find the net event though we had the better pressure and arguably better chances. It didn't matter that we lost and everyone left the ground buoyant and proud. BUT, nothing will eclipse the Liverpool game and the flow of positive media coverage that followed celebrating our team, fans and ground. Edited by Frickin Saweet (16 May 2014 9.58am)

I would swap your 1 & 2, the Liverpool game was just one of the best, you could see on the faces of the Liverpool players at 3-2, the were sh1tting themselves, I was quite happy at that score line, then when we got the third.... That's very magnanimous of you re Gayle and I've been critical of your criticism of him...blimey that's a mouthful. Anyway let's hope he will push on next season, I believe he will.
