In today's South London Press Parish identifies himself as being a proverbial "Pain in The Rear" in his initial dealings with Pulis. It seems as though he is pretty demanding and I suppose this is the way you succeed in business. It could be he is a man cast in the same mold as myself because during my professional life I was a real b****** who never asked for any quarter nor gave any quarter. I took no prisoners!. However,as I grew older I realized that some people knew better than I did and I began to relent a bit. Most of these people were consummate professionals who would argue from the strength of experience. Perhaps,as time goes on,Parish might be willing to concede that, sometimes, two heads are better than one especially in those cases where the one head has the necessary experience to prove his point. I very much admire Parish because of his tremendous efforts for The Palace but we all live to learn and in some areas of professional activity we have to climb down and ,at least, be prepared to listen to those who have an inside track. Really great post. I also think Pulis is someone he can relate to on a more personal level. Burley was not at the club for very long, Dougie was a bit too young and Holloway may have been not his style. Pulis seems to be a very business-like manager with attitudes Parish can identify.
