Surprised nobody has mentioned redmond yet. A very quick and technical winger who could give good competition to our current wingers.

Erm...someone has. Look at page one of this thread, second response after the original post.

I would like to see us go for some of these:

Sidwell (Fulham) - good box to box, tough tackling midfielder with plenty of PL experience and available on a FREE + he scores a few. Really what is not to like. 2 year contract due to his age.

Richardson (Fulham) - always rated the guy and has still looked good even in Fulham's recent abject performances against Hull and Stoke. The LB we need and he would not be ridiculously expensive. Doubt he wants to play in the Championship.

Snodgrass (Norwich) - if we could get him which many think unlikely. I love his work rate, ability and the fact that he can play wide or drop back behind the striker.

Redmond (Norwich) - bags of potential and now after a years experience in the PL would fit in well as one of four wide players(along with Bolasie; Puncheon and Ince). The good thing is that he is also able to play more centrally and up front when necessary.

Caulker (Cardiff) - not going to happen though.

The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing. If you can fake that, you've got it made. Groucho Marx

Check the posts, you will find the 3rd and 4th posts did mention Redmond.

Caulker no thanks.

He's been at the heart of the 2nd worst defense all season that's shipped 72 goals, why would we want to replace a central defender who's been at the heart of the 5th best defense in the League, with one who looked out of his depth against us at the Cardiff City Stadium last month, he's too slow, and his positional sense is poor.

Jerome ran him ragged until he was subbed, and I didn't see him win a single aerial challenge with Chamakh, and he's taller than Chamakh, even Jerome out jumped him and he's a good 5-6 cms shorter than Caulker.

Cardiff paid what ±£9m for him, we paid £2.5m for Dann, who's a much better defender.

Sidwell is a palace fan too, for what that's worth...

He isn't. A work associate of mine knows all his family (and him obviously). They are all Chelsea fans

You are joking, the man himself has openly stated he's an Arsenal supporter, although he supported Palace as a kid.

I'm not joking at all. I can tell you a gentleman I do business with has offered me tickets to games before because of his friendship with the Sidwell family and he is adamant (having known them for 30 odd years-since Sidwell was in nappys) that the whole family are Chelsea fans.
Still, I'm not really at all bothered who he supports anyway. That is a childish irrelevance. A professional will give his all for his employers whether he supports that team or not.

I think Martin Olsson has been really good for Norwich this season. One of their better players in a team of poor players, might be an affordable player that would give some quality and pace to the left back role.

He can also play wide left of midfield and although he is left-footed will shoot with his right foot.Chris Hughton signed him from Blackburn where his twin brother Marcus plays.

Pulis might well be looking at a target man in the Jerome mould, hopefully one who can score more goals !
Proven goalscorers in the top division are very expensive - perhaps he might consider Middlesbrough's Lukas Jutkiewicz who has been on loan at Bolton this season.Or even some loanees !

The only Fulham players worthwhile this season were Sidwell, Dejagah and maybe Dan Burn (for youth).
They do have some other inexperienced good youth players like Moussa Dembele the 2nd and 'Mesca'.
