He might drive everyone crazy sometimes, but there is no 2 ways about it he is a top manager. To get Chelsea to within touching distance of all major trophies with a team that wasn't his in the first place takes some doing. I don't mind him, he is one of the more entertaining and animated managers. Who wants a league full of Fat Sam's? Not only that he is a closet Palace fan to boot... Rafa left him a team in excellent shape, CL qualifiers and Europa Cup winners, surely there would be plenty of managers around Europe that could have had this £300 million plus team competing as equally? Grant you, but a 300 million pound team doesn't guarantee success and Rafa was very, very lucky with that Champions League title
He inherited a side with no central midfield, one good winger and strikers that are nowhere near the quality of his rivals. Mourinho has done well this season despite only adding wingers and a ball winning midfielder that couldn't play in Europe.

and so the saga continues. clattenburg identifies mourinho as the reason he quit UK refereeing. ManUre are playing a type of football about as exciting as watching paint dry. the FA is asking for clarity on some dodgy pre-match comments this week. accusing a BBC reporter of being a spy for another football club. is Mourinho the kind of thing we really want to see standing in any technical area in this country ?

and it is now looking almost certain that his premier league wheels have fallen off. Along with the caribou cup, this fella will be sacked soon. Thereafter, we will see him managing smaller teams on smaller budgets. referees will continue to dislike him.

Thereafter, we will see him managing smaller teams on smaller budgets. referees will continue to dislike him. Absolutely no chance of this happening. This Man Utd team is nothing special. Arguably Van Gaal had a more suitable team than Mourinho's version despite splashing on Pogba and Lukaku. This team are what 5 of the top 6 are - average and fighting for 4th place. The 'Mourinho factor' has got them second in the league, on a points tally that would usually see them 1st. He is very much still the special one in my eyes. No one could possibly have foreseen Man City's record and whilst it is impressive they have only dropped 2 points, it is easy to spot why. Most of the best teams in the world right now have a certain aspect of their game they are the best at. Man Utd for example have a solid defence and goalkeeper, meaning they win their games by not conceding many. Liverpool polar opposite. Brilliant attack, weak defence. Tottenham use the 'world-beater' approach. Have one star man that can turn games from draws to wins, aka Harry Kane. Man City last season were, another of the teams that had an absolutely devastating attack but not the greatest defence in the world. If this was still the case, the season would be a really interesting and exciting title race for neutrals like us. However, what they did is unheard of and I think disgusting - went out and bought every defensive player under the sun. Walker and Mendy, 100 million for 2 full-backs. 50 million for Stones the season before. 32 million for the goal-keeper after the previous season buying Bravo. Finally, if to be believed another 50 million in January for Van Dijk. That's their entire defence and goal keeper pre-made and store bought to compliment their best midfield and attack in the league. I'm not complaining because I'm not a fan of the other top 4 clubs but I'm complaining from a neutral perspective that it makes title races boring. Yes Man Utd still have an obscene budget but Mourinho had to clearly settle on buying his 70 million striker and using his budget on that otherwise how else can you explain Ashley Young as first choice left back. Only City can spend 50 million on each position at the back and still buy the likes of Sane, Jesus, Bernando Silva for attack. Mourinho hasn't lost his touch and unfortunately will never drop down to a team like Palace. He will be Portugal manager if he can't get Man Utd to up his budget or, much more likely, he'll go and join PSG, just to have the unlimited budget that will help his ego try and beat Pep. I can see him leaving end of season to go to PSG and not giving 2 damns about the French league, just obsessing over creating a team that can beat Man City in Champions League so he can laugh and spit at Pep!

The ref was giving them everything so they were bound to feel hard done by when they very occasionally were given a decision against them. That wasn't in the script.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

Jose ManUre-Ho has been found out. Found wanting. not fit to tie the shoelaces of Maurizio Pochetino. somebody tell Jose that you cannot win a match by constantly passing the ball from defender to defender and rolling around the ground like you have been stabbed.
