Willo With respect my recourse to expletives was a result of the frustration I felt at seeing yet another attempt to turn an unrelated thread into yet more "look at me" posturing from yourself. We've had the standing/sitting debate. We did it to death on more than one occasion and your views on the subject are well known. There really is no reason to keep resurrecting it apart from to deliberately irritate others and/or gain attention for yourself. That is the behaviour of a troll and not likely to endear you to your fellow HOL members. I'm all for freedom of speech and you're entitled to post what you want but this really is painfully boring. Guntri - any chance of a "block user" function? Please?

I suspect it is due to the high alert over forged tickets and the fact that Liverpool fans seems to have a propensity to show up sans tickets in larger numbers than most other clubs' followers. If you have a ticket, get there early. There will be a number of people with fake (or no) tickets stuck at the turnstile, unable to get in and unable to get out. Edited by Ray in Houston (01 May 2014 4.59pm) But they were certainly not at any point part of the cause of the problems and horrors of Hillsborough.

I really wouldn't wish to speculate as to the reasons for the Police presence nor cast aspersions regarding the Liverpool supporters. Why? Because quite frankly I have NO idea whatsoever why the Met Police will be present.I don't want to go down the route of speculating that their presence is linked to the "Scallywag" Liverpool supporters when I have NO reason to form this opinion. I don't want to do them a great-disservice by wild speculation based on nothing at all.

Surely just the mere presence of the Met Police is reason enough to form the opinion that it's linked with Liverpool supporters? What was the other game, out of interest?

There has been mention on here of the presence being linked to forged tickets but without knowing the reason I dont really want to speculate down that route at all.Maybe this is the reason,maybe not - we shall find out !
