Tony Pulis - Because Rodgers did it with a squad he's built over a few transfer windows, that was a decent competing team. Suarez cost Liverpool 22.5m plus a fortune in wages and an established world class player.

Pulis did it with a team that was bottom, comprised of players who no other premiership team were interested in, and over months rather than years. Jason Puncheon, top goal scorer, was on loan from Southampton and largely regarded as a failure.

Rodgers has done well, but the impact of the manager was only to turn a good team, that had been poorly managed by his predessors, into a really good one with a few very good additions (into a squad that featured noted internationals).

Pulis deserves it because he took a s**t team, with aboslutely no hope of staying up, and is currently sitting pretty at 11th in the table, with 44 points.

Had they had the same resources and capacity to attract players. All Rodgers has done is get Liverpool to compete at the level they should be competing at, and had been competing at. He's done well, but if done as well as Pulis has with Palace, then he'd already have lifted the Premier League.

Pulis achievement at Palace won't win, but all Liverpool have really achieved is to return to where they were five or six years or so ago. But they're 'footballing royalty' and every c**t will bang on about how they're great again - but they never should have gotten so s**t in the first place.

Where as Palace, who the f**k are Palace!

I fully concur with your post jamie, but in the interests of pedantry I am obliged to point out that we're currently on 43 points not 44

Sorry to be a pedant but you don't fully concur with his post!!

Psychic post, as we're on 44 points and proven who is really the manager of the season. Its the one who's team can defend and score goals, never give up and have the best fans.

Pulis easy now.

Brendan Rodgers , naïve against Chelsea , and against us 3-0 up and did not shut up shop . Thought they were good enough to match City's goal difference.

Brendan , You know nothing .

the only question now is "what colour shoes Pulis wears to the Manager of the Season Award ?" I reckon, red cos he received such a nice present from Brendan Rogers.

Respect to Brendan Rodgers for all he's done this season, he's a fine manager and a good man, but to give him the MOTY award ahead of Tony Pulis after tonight's events would seem absolutely farcical.

too many ex-Liverpool tv pundits have been talking up Rodgers for MOTY when it just has to be Pulis -

I would still say this even if they had won the league as they have only improved a few places

another example of the media hype around the richest 5 or 6 clubs
