City were exceptional and I would say were the best team I have seen this season they were fired up due to the Liverpool result. We did not play that well but I would say City did not allow it to happen.
Oh and what was going on with Faithless being played over the top of Glad all over, even the PA guys were half asleep Absolutely terrible, added to the fact that we didn't steam roller Man City who in a couple of weeks will be unveiled as the champions this season, leads me to wish we had gone to the wall in 2010!

A consequence of our own success this year, I'm afraid. I'm concerned that there will be loads of threads like this next year if we're (hopefully!), say, 15th and just lost to a Top 4 side. That's not me being unambitious; that's just being realistic and realising that expectations must be controlled. Moaning about a 2-0 defeat by Man City?! Oh, come on!

A few of City's results this season: 4-0 v Newcastle We lost 3-0 over two league games home & away. Seriously, what the f*ck do people expect of a team who came up through the playoffs and were dead certs for relegation? Seriously?

But yeah, let's whinge and moan, no wonder we're known as Nigels.

Thought the game was very positive on showing where we are...mid-table in the Premiership, and who would not have settled for that in August !! Of the top 6 teams, Manchester City are the physically strongest, and with our collective strength being our greatest asset, they were always likely to match up well with us. Given they scored very early, the fact we stayed in the game right to the end again, and only conceeded 3 over 180 minutes against them is very positive. Ask Norwich or Spurs if they would have liked to borrow our defensive set-up when playing City !!

I get where the the OP is coming from! God knows why but I left the ground feeling dejected and disappointed if I'm honest. Did I expect us to win? No not at all but if you compared that performance to the Chelsea match then you might understand where I'm coming from. GT

Its been a long hard couple of seasons for the team, with huge amounts of constant phyical and mental pressure. As soon as the West Ham game finished you could see the weight being lifted. Give them a break, they have put a million shifts in this season.

No not at all but if you compared that performance to the Chelsea match then you might understand where I'm coming from.A fella in the railway club predicted that we would not be at the race's after safety was confirmed but I thought with the opponents we might still give it 100%. I took my son who doesn't get to see us often and he thought the fan's were better than the team! GT But GT on the Day Man City were far superior than Chesea. Chelsea at the end of the Day was a great Win, but we needed John Terry, John Terry, scoring goals for PALACE John Terry.!!!! Need to be 0-0 with Liverpol at Half Time Monday.

Due to health reasons I can't get to games these days but I watch them where I can from start to finish, I watched the palace city game and have to say that I was not as impressed with the lads as I have been. I felt we looked jaded and tired, jules was not controlling his area and I felt was at fault for the first goal, we knew that toure would be a handful but nobody was able to control him in fact we never looked as if we got anywhere near him .

City controlled the game from start to finish. Spurred on by Chelsea winning followed by an early goal and Yaya on top form, plus a team worth multi millions al playing well also. They didn't allow us in the game, best performance at selhurst IMO
its a town full of losers, i,m pulling outta here to win |
