I always think a whiff of hyprocracy abounds this area.

Had Murray put in a transfer request to 'move on' when we weren't doing too well in the Championship there would have been howls of indignation, with the words 'disloyal'. 'barsteward' and 'no repect for the shirt' being prominent.

However, were the club to 'move him on' then somehow that's something completely different.

fans really are hypocritical.

if he starts well next season we will see the same supporters saying 'I always said he was a top striker'

he needs a pre-season and 5 games of next season to be judged. Look how much Bolasie struggled at the beginning yet he is now one of the strongest performers in the side. yes the jury is out on him but it's a bit early to be cutting him just yet.

Murray came back in the WBA home win, as time passes he is obviously getting fitter and stronger.
The main problem for him has come in the shape of our fantastic run of five straight wins. If you include Sunday's defeat that is half the amount of games he has been available for and TP has not changed a winning team (why would he, if it aint broke don't fix it)but i would like to see him start the last two games and in a partnership with Dwight Gayle and see what happens.

One good in the air the other pacey good finisher.

One game against a very good side and the other against a not so good side both ends of the PL scale if you like.

Yes I agree Murray needs a break and then to come back slowly next season. He is obviously feeling his way back into the game but it will take time for him to return to what he was before that terrible injury. For now I still think he will eventually come good again.

Exactly the same posters who wrote off Bolasie Puncheon Jedinack and anyone who has a few off form games.

Having lauded his praises last year its sad to see Glen has not the pace to be effective in the Premiership,His cruciate injury has been a killer blow--such a terrible injury to totally recover from. With next season in mind CPFC should thank Murray and sell him to enhance their coffers--he will do a fine job for a championship club if he remains fit.Your views....

Wtf is that meant to mean?

Murray was never going to make much difference this season after coming back from a serious injury + he's stepped up a league to the Premiership.
I agree with what's been said already about him needing a full injury free pre-season & with more game time next season we'll see Murray back to his best.

I want it noted right now that I think he can cut it in the premiership. Just like when everyone was saying he was useless the season he scored 7 goals I said that he could cut it in the championship if we based the team around him. So I want it noted he could be a 15-20 goal a season striker next year if we base the team to his strengths.

It was only a couple of seasons ago a lot on these boards thought he wasn't good enough for The Championship.

Give the bloke a chance. Due to our style when he's returned, he hasn't had many chances. Watched him closely when he has played and can't say he's out of his depth. His brain and his touch are still working from what I can see.

Think Pulis likes him too. Expect him to play a major part next season.

he needs a full pre season under his belt he"ll score 20+ goals next year. give the bloke a break. and please not his leg. anyone whose played any decent standard sport will know how hard it is to get match fitness midway through a season. if he goes another prem side will take a punt on him. have faith he did in us

You cannot possibly pass judgement of this kind until GM has had a proper pre season and a run in the starting line up.

As for his lack of pace, Teddy Sheringham didn't have a bad career and he wasn't exactly greased lightning was he ?

I can't believe that anyone can slag off Glen Murray!

He has just come back from injury and is getting a few minutes here and there.

When Glen is fit and given 90 minutes he will be fine.

It really does come down to the service that he receives.

Have we got the creativity in the side to create chances for Glen or anyone else that we give the No. 9 shirt to?????

A new era of total football is on the way to Selhurst Park!!
