Just thought I'd stir things up a little by asking if anyone on here would swap the incredible achievement of retaining our Premiership status for victory for England in Brazil this summer. As for me, club before country every time! COYP! WC win for England all day long. Had we won the EPL though, then that would be a completely different kettle of fish.

Palace always first. However, will enjoy this World Cup rooting for England. Why? For the first time ever, we go to a tournament without ANY expectations at all to do well. We are in the toughest group with our bogey nation, Italy also in the group. Perhaps this World Cup can be likened to Palace in PL this season. Optimism then crushed by poor early results, then change of leadership, and ultimately, salvation achieved. As Greavsie used to say "It's a funny old game"!

WC win 100%. Been a good season in the way its gone (no hopers to 11th) but when will we ever see England win the World Cup? Palace in the promotion mix every 5-6 years. England have an outside chance at every 5-6 world cups.

I don't even really know why myself, but I have no particular affinity towards England. Obviously, I support them over any other national team and would be pleased to win the World Cup, but there's no passion for me. It's telling that the England game I've taken most interest in recently is the one in which Wilf made his debut.

Palace every time - stuff England. I may be tempted into a Palace FA Cup Final victory and relegation, a la Wigan though, with the good prospect of a swift return to PL.

For me, I'd love England to win something and I live close to Wembley so go and watch them play sometimes, but as a choice I'm 100% behind Palace before anything to do with England.

Hmm...looks like I am an infidel but I don't see it that simply. If we were to compare Palace v Sheff W and the possibility of oblivion, then no question it would be Palace first. But a relegation, with the club on a sound footing, and the chance to get back in 12 months against a once-in-a-generation chance to lift the World Cup, then it would be the World Cup for me (provided John Terry wasn't the captain, obviously).

I have nowhere near as much passion whilst supporting England as I do Palace. For me it's an easy decision - Palace every day! Obviously I'd love to see England win the World Cup, but even if it's only surviving relegation, I'd still go for Palace.
