I respect your opinion. Goose Island IPA is quality. I drink it.
About Bannan..... I have a lot of Aston Villa mates (I went to University there) and they hate his guts. They say he marched around shouting and pointing instructions to his teammates, rather than playing his own game.
They tell me that he thinks that he is a natural captain......
He also tried to shag my mate's sister..... so my mates may be a little one sided......

The mark of a person with a lack of footballing knowledge bases his opinions on players based on the form of a previous club. I remember being underwhelmed when we signed a s*** bald nobody from brum. I think we all know who that is.

I don't want to upset or provoke anyone.
My philosophy is that if you are a palace fan then by definition you have decent enough footballing knowledge.
Ive been watching it for 49 years.
Let's focus on the fact that should be happy that we have had a great season. Incredible. Beyond my wildest dreams.

-------------------------------------------------------

I think you miss EEP's point DE. What he appears to be saying is that Maxi is one of those people that would say Joniesta is too small for Pulis.

EEP, I think you should be less up tight about Maxi, he serves a very useful purpose. Having a heretic in the camp gets the rest of us to rally around. Without him we would probably disagree more, bizzarely enough.

True. It wouldn't be nearly as fun without someone to disagree with.

For me Williams is one of the brightest prospects to emerge from the youth team in a while, and we all know that we've brought through some real talent so that is saying something. I sincerely hope nobody else benefits from him but I guess it all boils down to wether TP rates him and if he is going to fit into the current system.

He doesn't fit into a TP future at Selhurst for the same reason Bannan doesn't.

He's too short.

TP's modus operandi........

What are you basing that on? A pre-conceived view of Pulis which should have been completely dispelled by now.

I really hope Joniesta remembers he is a Palace man, comes back home becomes a legendary international while at Selhurst. Anything else and I'd doubt the purpose of having a great youth system.

???

It was less than 12 months ago that we had a player who almost single handedly got us through the play offs and we made £10million from.

What more do you want?

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

That's it Userman. We must reap the rewards of our youth system and not give it away so easily, as may be what is happening at Ipswich with Joniesta.

I'm sure I read somewhere that TP said Joniesta has a future here. Can't find it at the moment though.

If he develops in the way his time at Ipswich suggests, could be our very own poor man's Oscar.

TP has said he has a future with us, so let's get him back over the summer and see where he is at. If he makes the cut, then great. There comes a time for any player where a decision is made whether or not he's cut out for the first team. At the highest level, that bar is set at it's highest.

Hopefully he will make the grade. If he doesn't, then I'm sure we will all understand and appreciate the judgement of the coaching staff and wish the player well in his future.

Fingers crossed though, that Joniesta turns into David Silva over the summer and tears it up next season.
