I'm not a fan in terms of finishing and quality but think he has been our most important player over the last three games given the way we set out and that 4-4-2 doesn't seem to be an option in the prem. I thought he bullied John Terry a bit and if a central defender in the prem was given the choice of marking Jerome or Murray then they would be happier marking Murray. Like others I'm frustrated by end product / quality but also think he's our most important player in some respects. He should be kept in my view 100%. Although we scored shortly after Murray came on I thought he weakened the team today rather than adding strength. Also should not forget Jerome's goal line clearance in the first half.

And NO, I am not a Gayle lover either.

I'd be of the opinion that he's one to keep. Works tirelessly, runs all days, and actually holds the ball up well, which you'll always need in a pullis team. What I can't understand is how Jerome is played in front of chamahk. Especially today against villa, when Cham came on, drop Jerome back, hold the ball up, Cham up front? Now that palace are settling into a nice pulis confident system, there is definitely room for some innovation up front

the problem with murray is that we havnt got wilf & yannick tearing up weaker team to make a huge amount of chances for him, were not playing that way this season. murray did fantastic last season but most strikers would with 20 decent balls a game being pumped into the box

he has tried his hardest, and thats all we can ask from a player woth his limited ability, but lets not kid ourselves here...a forward with finishing ability would have 10+ goals from the chances he has had

Id sign Jerome but idealy we need a striker like him who can score. Troy Deeney gets my vote.

No, his done well but we can defiantly get a better replacement. I think pulis will get any player running his socks off anyway so don't think we will miss his hard work. Would love ba but don't see him as a realistic target.

to add to that, next season will be equally as hard as this one and somebody with his pace & effort but can actually finish open goals would most certainly be a welcome addition. maybe somebody like demba ba if he leaves chelsea Gets my vote - Jerome with goals in him
I would certainly keep him as a squad player.

I agree with everyone that has said he has been very important for us and worked his socks off, he certainly has. At times he has been the most important player on the pitch for us, but would I keep him, no. At the end of the day he is a striker. We could go to league 2 and I am sure there are a couple of big, strong, quick striker down there that can run all day and they would offer the same goal threat. Unfortunately, as has been highlighted many times on here and by pundits, we lack goals. We cannot afford to have a striker that is a 3 goal a season man, if he had 10 goals a season in him and we had other players chipping in then unquestionably I would keep him, we dont have that luxury. Whilst I am not counting my chickens just yet, it is looking that we are going to be playing premiership football next season and I think we can look at a higher quality of player for next season. I thank Cam Jam for all he has done for us this season and the work he has done but lets be honest, he was putting himself in the shop window as well as working for us.

1 goal in his last 37 PL games (Stoke and Palace). Yes, he works his socks off and are probably one of the best players in the top tier WITHOUT the ball, but hey, we're a football team. His miss vs Villa sealed my mind about him - let him go. Thank God he was on the bench when Punch scored, would probably have been in the way for the ball.
