If we don't pick up any more points this season and taking a far superior GD into consideration...to overtake us..... Sunderland need 13 out of a possible 18 available (I,e can only drop 5) Sunderland: Next 2 games are City away, then Chelsea away Cardiff: Next two games are Stoke home, Sunderland away Fulham: Next two games are Spurs away, Hull at Home Norwich: Next two games are Liverpool home, Man Utd away

I we lose every game til Fulham, and Fulham win all their games (a very unlikely scenario), we would still finish above them if we win that game. So, effectively, we will either be safe before then or, at very worst, our fate will still be in our own hands on the last day.

Take a look at Hull remaining games, they could easily drop in there as majority are 6 pointers .

I think there's just too many teams beneath us at the moment for us to end up in the bottom 3. If Cardiff and Fulham hadn't both own today I would have cracked open the champers already though! 1 more point and I think we're good. I think we should go to Everton with 11 behind the ball and play for a really really boring 0-0. Edited by skatman (12 Apr 2014 9.42pm)

It is still possible that we could finish bottom. I can't see that happening by anything less than a miracle. But NEVER presume we are safe. I personally think we will stay up though.

A draw on Wed against Everton and a win against the Hammers then we can celebrate. I'm really chuffed cos my prediction was 12th on 42 points and that's not an unreasonable expectation now.
And I see signs of half remembered days, I hear bells that chime in strange familiar ways |

37 points should be more than enough to keep us afloat, but our job is only half done. Although, i do fancy us to nick a point off of Everton on Wednesday night. If Sunderland can keep them at bay for 75 before conceding with an own goal, then why can't we?
"Look at that. Accident blackspot? These aren't accidents! They're throwing themselves into the road gladly! Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness!" |

We'll concede in injury time at the earliest.

...the way we are playing = definite survival, regardless what all the other teams get up to. ....we are far too organised to be remotely worried. ...and I worked that out months ago.
