I will f*cking get mad at the board if they EVER let him go. But then again, if he does go to the world cup and plays well there might be big clubs after him.

Get a grip, you seem to have an unhealthy obsession with Speroni.

You need to realize he is 35 next month and at an age where most players are thinking about hanging up their boots, Hennessey is only just 27, and is one for the future which TP appears to be building for.

Speroni has been brilliant servant to the club, and I'm sure he will get what he deserves from the club before or when he does leave.

It would make absolutely no sense to get rid of him at the end of the season, and I don't think he will. Pulis likes competition all over the pitch, last season Stoke had Begovic, Sorensen and Butland between the sticks. It's healthy competition, and Speroni's form has been sensational since January.

I'd be surprised if Pulis does this. Speroni has done nothing but enhance his reputation this season overall - a few mistakes here and there but so has every goalkeeper.

I doubt he'd drop a keeper just because hes a bit older, you drop someone because they aren't playing well and what kind of a message does it send to the rest of the squad if he dropped Jules just because hes in his 30's ? Pulis isn't that kind of manager - look how he has everyone playing for him, you just cant do that as a manager without being an excellent motivator, and you aren't an excellent motivator by dropping players for anything other than form.

Hennessy is here to keep Jules on top of his game and so he takes nothing for granted. At whatever point Speroni dips then WH will get his chance. He'll get a new contract no problem, and will be first choice keeper next season.

First choice? Mmmmmm.....Are you willing to put your money where your opinion is?

Yup. £20 to the charity of the winners choice with screenshot proof on the HOL ?

Stirling - you clearly asked "Are you..." not "Would you be....."

Obviously, you aren't so convinced yourself then?

....Mmmmm...I just think that logically on the objective level I'm right....Though emotionally I'd prefer you guys to be right.

But as I'm on a zero hours contract I'm not so sure to doing twenty quid.....Though your charity idea is excellent....There should be more things like these....Maybe a fiver or sportsman's bet.

Servants to a club do not come along very often particularly in this day and age and individuals are never bigger or better than the club.

However, it will be 10 years in July that he arrived and he has literally gone from zero to hero in that time. A true pro who didn't sit and feel sorry for himself when dropped after 6 games, he worked his socks off and earned his place between the sticks. A thoroughly nice person too, and the pro that kids should look up to if they want to be a professional footballer one day.

I dread to think what division we might be playing in right now if it wasn't for him had he not saved us as often as he has done. At times he was to good for The Champioship and to good for us.

In short, we must not let go of this man. He is in the midst of the best season of his career and at 35 that is an amazing achievement. He has made the most of this promotion.

He is good for at least another 2 years and this is as much his club. The feelings are mutual. I will be very disappointed in the club if he leaves because we all know it won't be JS's decision if he does. He should also be our next goalkeeping coach.

I wasn't really putting myself forward for betting myself. I was wondering if you would.

I'd say for Speroni to be first choice next season he'd have to start 30 games.

I'd be surprised if Pulis didn't offer a contract but I can't see Speroni being first choice.

How many of us at Selhurst have actually seen Hennessey in action? While Pulis may delight in having a taller keeper I don't necessarily think he has got a better keeper and if Pulis did buy Hennessey because of an incessant gut feeling then he is not the man I thought he was and I would be unhappily surprised. Gut feelings are OK up to a point but facts speak louder and the fact is Speroni is playing very well and does not need at this point in time to be replaced. If Pulis is planning for the future I would rather he give priority of attention to our staying up and then deliberate on the future and our needs relating to keepers.Could Speroni be expected to play second fiddle at Selhurst? If I were in his boots I certainly would not because he has a great deal to offer being a first choice.

This club doesn't spend 7 figures on a goalkeeper, with two internationals already as back ups, with the intention of him sitting on the bench.

If Speroni does stay as number 1 next year, then that is down to a string of impressive performances, but it would be very naive to think that Pulis didn't purchase Hennessey as at the very least a serious competitor to that number 1 shirt.

His legendary status is of course evident, but it won't be a factor in any decision and no amount of anger or protest will change that. All it would do is divide the club. It's best everyone trusts Speroni, his agent and the club to make the best decision for all involved, however much of a shame or as welcome it may be.

Speroni will stay I am sure of that.

Also, Hungarian Eagle you need to get a grip mate. Pulis knows what he is doing with the situation.

He has already said before that he want's a similar situation to what he had at Stoke.

Thomas Sorensen - an experienced keeper who is still at the top of his game.

Begovic - A keeper who is experienced but still is young in terms of ages for GK and has a lot to offer.

Butland - a young and promising goalie and one who is certainly for the future.

Now it is clear to me that this is what Pulis is doing with us. Speroni is our Sorensen and Hennesey is our Begovic. I can see us signing a teenage GK in the summer.

Look at Begovic now, one of the most sought after keepers in the world. Speroni will still be our keeper next season dont worry about that, but I can see Hennesey getting a few more starts next campaign.

Fair enough chap - a sportsmans bet it is ! Although by 'first choice' I mean at the start of the season - your point about 30 games or more Im less sure of, depends how he does. But he'll still have the number 1 shirt.

I have no doubt that Hennessy was told that £3M or not, hes not walking into the team and its Speroni's shirt right now and he should be look to making it his in the next couple of years, impressive showings in cup games or if Jules gets injured or suspended. Hes there initially to bring out the best in Speroni, and that's working an absolute charm.

You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue
Yours sincerely
