I remember all the Moxey fans on here before Christmas.

I said then and I'll say it now.....By all accounts a quality bloke and obviously a leader on the pitch....But he belongs in the championship.

I think you missed the point back then. It was a debate between Moxey and Parr, and I still maintain Moxey was performing at a level I've not seen from Parr. However, I think most "Moxey fans" as you put it maintained that neither him nor Parr are good enough for this level. That's a fact - as much as they both work their socks off, if we want to move forward in this league than neither is good enough as first choice.

I didn't miss the point. I was responding to a 'Moxey love in' that was most definitely not critical nor didn't point out that Moxey wasn't good enough.

The only posters on that thread saying that Moxey wasn't good enough were those responding to those risible 'Moxey' posts.

I said in that thread that Parr would be back at Christmas and I think I was out by a week or two.....I was derided of course.

Pulis rates Parr in front of Moxey as shown by him using him as the back up.....That's pretty much all that needs to be said.

Moxey always put in a shift, and can be proud to have prem games on his CV. Because of that, he may attract one of the teams coming up,or a top half champ club. But we need to step up a level with signings, and I feel a player like Moxey has come to the end of the road with us.

Just when I thought that I was out...........they pull me back in

Building on what "Stirlingsays" says, the fact that Pulis prefers a naturally right-footed player at left back over two naturally left-footed players says it all.

It seems to be that Johnny Parr is preferred over The Mox, so unless JP gets injured it could, sadly, be the end of the Palace road for Mox. We still have Mr Hunt to return from loan.

Sometimes life is hard, but maybe its time for us to move on and let Deano have a go somewhere else in the country.

Taking the bungy jump since 1964. Never to see John Jackson in a shirt again

Sorry to see Lee Hills go, did we ever see Alex Marrow? We did January 2013

As both of their contracts end in June of this year a decision has to be made on selling or contract renewal.

For me if it was one of them it would be Parr, he's less prone to mistakes, Moxey does semm to suffer from concentration lapses and of course he'a another player to play for Palace in both full back rolls.

They have been great servants for Palace and helped us though the difficult times after the summer of 2010. Moxey came to the club the middle of the 2010/11 season and Parr the beginning of the 2011/12 season when he was playing in the Norwegian season and of course voted Palace's player of the season for 2011/12.

If we do go Dow, then both should stay. If we do stay up, then one, probs Moxey, would move on, with all our thanks. To lose both would be to lose too much of our defensive DNA
