If Cardiff throw the kitchen sink at us which they will I think we will be ok. I can see this being another kind of Chelsea games soak up the pressure and then break with pace and exploit the gaps in the back but FFS Palace put them away.

You don't think Cardiff will be clever and hold back, inviting Palace forward and exploiting the resulting gaps. With speedy players like Zaha and Bellingham up front, I would. After all, they must know Palace need to win as much as them. Or do Palace fall back to their old, misdirected ways of defending negatively and do a Newcastle etc?

Have they produced a hybrid player combining Bellamy and Whittingham !?! I never trusted their new owner with his black leather gloves. Always looked like a James Bond villain to me. Now I know why they let him buy the club.

The longer the game goes on as a draw, the more nervous/desperate Cardiff will become. I imagine their fans will become vocal as well and we need to capitalise on this. They will inevitably push forward but we can just as easily hit them on the break. We have the quality to do so.

One goal will be the difference in my opinion.

Could be right. But I really think Cardiff will sit back to invite Palace to attack and use their quicker players to use the ensuing space.

Do you really think they will sit back and invite Palace forward ? They'll have a really long wait ! I hope they do sit back because so will we and the game will end a dull 0-0 draw !

Cardiff had scored, I think, 10 goals in the last 4 games - an average of 2 goals per game. It won't be a 0-0 game on Saturday. They are going to score at least 1 goal and we have to score to get a draw or win.

No, keep it the same.

Cardiff can be dangerous going forward, and we're at their place.

Solid at the back, and a quick counter to follow. Against Chelsea, whilst being very defensively sound, we also commuted forward a sensible amount and broke with intent. Too any times we've just done the defensive said, and have ended up looking toothless.

We are where we are because we've been solid at the back and countered when possible. Some games we've done that better than others.

Keep it the same then, with 25 to go, this really could be Ince's time to shine. It's not too dissimilar to their Championship team and with tired legs, he could make a real difference off the bench.

Whatever happens, we must not concede and that will be the philosophy. I back us to hold them out, we've held out much better sides, and I really don't rate their defence on our counter attack.

Here's hoping!

Please do not think Cardiff will 'fall' into our trap of inviting them forward and being caught on the break. They may be Welsh, but I think we'll all find them cleverer than that. It's a game of nerve and they will hold back to create the space they want. With the space available to Palace I'd expect Palace to go forward and then be susceptible to the counter. Their success in the goalscoring game is better than ours. Even if Palace then hold back and seem to settle for the inevitable draw, there will come a moment when a hole will appear in Palace defence 'enticed' forward. It's a common tactic among the Scandinavians, so remember who the Cardiff manager is.

I don't think it is a case of luring them into our trap. We set up for every game not expecting to have much in the way of possession and trying to be hard to break down. That is not how Cardiff have approached games this season and with their desperation for points and possible confidence in beating us I would expect the usual possession stats to prevail. I do not believe Cardiff are defensively sound enough to sit back in a match and expect them to come at us.

Yes, very good points. Just nerves from me!

Typical nerves and expectations after a great result Saturday. Think it will be a totally different game. Would not be surprised to see Wilf on the bench for Cardiff as he must have mixed feelings about the game - especially with rumours rife that we will try to get him back if we stay up (or should I say after we have guaranteed our safety).

Although Jerome was brilliant against Chelsea, we need to attack in numbers and convert our chances rather than just having someone to hold the ball up. So I'd put Murray or Chamakh in - depending on his fitness.
