not a stupid thread. Its just pionting out that when times get tough dont slag off the manager whos done well. but get behind him and support the team.

Stupid thread. Just because it worked today doesn't mean we got it right last week or the week before. Indeed first win in 6 and first goal for 9 hours or so in open play. Why do people have to be right or wrong on here? It is a forum for opinions after all.

Anyway, great unexpected win today. Great performances by all.

Yes it is because there weren't threads calling for him to be 'out' last week or the week before.

Just wondering where all the fans have gone from last week and the week before?

If I remember correctly there were a number of people criticising pulis' tactics, saying he doesn't know what he's doing bla bla bla.

Anyone care to carry on or can we all just agree he has got it spot on once again.

Genius.

I'm still here.
Changed tactics today, he actually set the team up to win. So if he gets it right, he gets praise, if he gets it wrong he doesn't. Seems fair to me.

Exactly right. .todays amazing performance and win and he and the team deserve huge oraise..it doesn't mean the dismal and dour negative last few games go away - silly thread

There were a number of topics on how awful he was and how "I'd prefer to go down then stay up and watch this s***" Bla bla bla.

This game aside he has done a marvellous and there were a number of fans acting as if they could do a better job - why would he encourage hoof ball against Sunderland and then ask us to attack more against chelsea? Seems a bit odd doesn't it? It just goes to show his tactics are to keep us in every game no matter what and try to win as many as possible and his record speaks for itself.

Well seeing as I was debating with people making those points it must've been. Unless it was all just a strange dream I was having..

You'll disagree but your completely wrong. He's gone with the same tactics he always has which is to make defending and being solid the priority and hitting them on the counter attack.

When holloway or anyone else for the matter could of got this palace team to get 3 points against the league leaders then let me know.

He is a tactical Genious end of and he proved that today.

Really. Both full backs got forward today as did both wingers. Jedi gave the ball away far less today, because he actually had some forward passes he could make and the players are also getting more familiar with the set up which frees the mind to do what comes naturally, rather than always thinking about positions. We counter attacked with a real speed and purpose and actually tried to pass it around at times rather than just hoof it. TP also did a Ollie and kept telling them to push up and encouraged them to run with it and take the game to them. In the previous five games he did not do this, so clearly somethings were different.
The dig at Ollie is strange, why? The man gave us our greatest ever moment at the Amex and for that I will always be grateful. I had serious doubts about Ollie and I have a dislike of the tactics employed over the last five games with Pulis, but that's just my personal opinion.

It's well known T.P takes advice and read's the post's on here,so I say take a bow all poster's that have been critical of our recent games and tactic's.
m.o.t.m today for me was Wardy!.

Where's that coffee shaker smilie.
One of the reasons we did ok yesterday was that Puncheon played very well, for more minutes than he usually does but then he does that against the bigger sides. Thought CJ had his best game too.
3 more points in a season where every game is hard.

Congratulation on your pointless s*** thread.

I refuse to believe there are that many people out there that can't spell. Too f**king lazy, that's what I think.

1) Chelsea wingers were obviously told to stand off full backs or were too lazy to track so they had time on the ball. They got forward when they could, as they have done every week.

2) Jedi gave the ball away a lot in the first half, as much if not more than normal.

3) 95% of our counter attacking was a result of Chelsea throwing people forward and playing a high line once 1-0 down.

The tactics were identical today, the difference is they worked.

Posts like yours piss me off.
A) a win doesn't make you right anymore than a defeat makes you wrong.

B) Everyone is entitled to their opinion and willy waving after a great win is puerile.

In my opinion, the best manager we've had since Sir Steve. Put a 10 goal a season striker in our team and we'd be safe by now.

And I know Millen steadied the ship but to come in and get us to where he has is absolutely brilliant!

The point about Puncheon is one I was also going to make. Not a revolutionary change in how we were set up but at times Punch and Bolasie (before he clearly tired) were sublime. And Mariappa now is settling into his rople well

But for goodness sake why slate the OP? This is a debate forum.
