'Deserve'? You could argue all sorts of reasons why clubs deserve to stay up. Palace as a club have shown that there is life after administration, been an example of achieving without massive financial investment and the presence of our fans in the Premier league has been excellent. I think we are a breath of fresh air in the top flight.. we absolutely deserve to stay up.

The only way we will stay up is to get a grip and some of the players need to start wanting that 50/50 ball and to fight for the win ! Failing that we are going to have to rely on those around us loosing like they did last season when we got promotion. Our form then was dreadful too !!

Nothing matters except points on the board when it comes to relegation. It doesn't matter if you feel you deserve it or not, regardless of the circumstances. Come on the end of the season, we will be able to highlight certain results or performances that helped form the end result, but hopefully all that will matter is that there were three teams with less points than us.

Everyone said this season was goint to be tough. Its a miracle we have a great chance of staying up.

We, as supporters, should get back to the spirit of last year. Eternally optimistic and roaring our team on.

Against Chelsea we'll probably be thumped. But wouldn't it be typical of us if we turned them over. And I hate Chelsea too !

To be honest, this season's been the biggest anti-climax ever. When IH took Blackpool up, they had a go and made friends with their attacking style. We didn't do that under him, and since then have tried to bore points out of teams.

I was hoping to see the players who took us up given a chance, but instead we've seen a team of journeymen, mainly players who haven't made it at other Prem teams. I will be sad if we go down, but at least we might see some goals if we do.

As we have only scored 19 goals, it's nothing short of a teeny miracle that we have amassed 28 points & are still above the dotted line with 8 games left. Maybe we "deserve" a bit of credit for that small achievement alone.

A massive testament to our defence, and the fact that its far more important in football to not concede goals than to score them.

Not sure its far more important. If you dont score goals you'll never win a match.

Although it's frustrating about the lack of goals we score, we have been in virtually every match right up to the 90th minute. The fact we have 28 points (as quoted above) is a fair argument that if you don't concede many you have a chance. Scoring loads, but shipping more at the other end is no better for winning matches.

The alternative to what has happened this season would have seen us lose 5-0 on Saturday, outclassed, out-fought, out-manoeuvred and out of our depth.

It is not exciting. We all get that.

You want excitement? Look in the mirror when we get those three points at Fulham or West Ham to ensure our survival.

Next season will be the time to criticise if we are still employing the same shape and tactics even though we bought five experienced Prem players during the summer.

We are a Championship level team playing in The Prem. Suarez is coming to Selhurst soon.

Fvck - if that's not exciting enough then you are following the wrong team.

Do you mean apart from Speroni, Ward, Moxey, Parr, Delaney, Gabbidon, Bolasie, Jedi, KG, Murray?

If we stay up, I really hope we develop our playing style. We can't go another 38 games with the whole team behind the ball again. That's if Pulis stays on, heard multiple rumours that he'll leave at the end of the season regardless of where we finish.

In my opinion we don't, and neither do the three teams below us either. We have brought nothing to this league in terms of quality and entertainment, the only thing we will be remembered for is our magnificent support. The whole Prem experience has been one to forget. We have been like a partygoer who hasn't brought a bottle. We are treading water at the moment, TP has made us hard to beat but thats all and we're still losing. I would have enjoyed it more if i was a Cardiff fan, at least they're scoring a few goals. They probably deserve to stay up more than us because of their approach. Is there anyone else who feels the same?

Go and support Cardiff then because 'support' is certainly not what you are offering the club with your negative comments.
You are entitled to your opinion but don't spout them as if its fact. It's far from that.
Palace have won over a few neutrals and not just for the support either. The football is dogged, stubborn and organised. Very few teams can play direct offence like City or attractive passing like Arsenal.
I for one would like to see us establish ourselves as a top division club and then build a style of football that wins, entertains and attracts a better quality player. The problem is some people expect all that in the first season and then get all misty eyed for the Championship when it doesn't happen. I wonder who I'm talking about....

if the Holloway Prem period never happened , we would be a confirmed prem team by now.

I agree totally, that 4-1 loss to now bottom of the table Fulham at home was the most embarrassing game I ever witnessed in my life.

Really? You've not watched Palace for long then!
We were poor in the second half against Fulham but it was two world class strikes that did us. They were out of the blue and on another night they would not have gone in.
