Please Eastend, mate. Stick to the points being made on this thread and less about insulting others. It's not fun that's all. x

It pisses me off how quick people are to jump on the man who has probably saved our season, we are like Stoke in many ways a side with no real quality but the longer we stay in the division the more chance our football will improve. Anybody who watched Stoke would realise that they improved in footballing terms each year, rather then going on the media image of them. The Stoke I saw was not dire at all. They were full of grit, determination, blood, sweat and tears, would show big teams up regularly by being in there face defending for there lives and attacking with purpose, pace and power. A manager who would still stand in the pissing rain and bark orders if there 4 0 down. A manager who returns to a game early even though it was his own mothers funeral. This is what Palace are about, not no flash big time Charlie with a flash name from Spain. The football will improve under Pulis, but in order for it to improve we have to contain the sides and hope we get the lucky break each game. We cannot technically compete with any side in this league, that is the long and short of it. In Pulis We Trust.

Some people on here and at the Croydon Advertising have memories like a goldfish!!

Glenn first season with Palace, did very Little in ways of scoring goals, why? Simple, because under DF 2 season ago we played super defensive, then last season with two quick wingers putting balls in the box, how many did he score?? LOTS!!

Now what system are we playing again, slick attacking wing play or ultra defensive? not Glenn Murray or anyone we have will score many goals, why? because we dont go out to score. Maybe if we play Bolasie, Bannan, Ince as the 3 behind him, with Ledley and Jedi holding and not put 10 players behind the ball then smash it long to Murray, he might get some good passes/crosses into him and he will score!

Glenn is our one chance of scoring goals from the unexpected. No one else has his potential for magic. Trouble is, he is not only struggling to regain his fitness and form. Remember that he had lost his magic even before his injury last season and his goals had dried up. We need him to get back where he was in the first part of last season. But I still believe that he is the player who can score us the 3-4 goals we need to stay up. I also think his partnership with Cham was beginning to work so let's hope that gets into gear again when Cham is back.

We could have Lionel Messi upfront and our 'style' of play would mean we still wouldnt give him any service

Silly article and idiotic if anyone feels thats were our problem in scoring is

We are fortunate to have him playing at all. He's not match fit and clearly been rushed back ahead of schedule due to our needs.

Anybody seriously suggesting the solution is Jerome is crazier than as a bag of frogs.

I sometimes wonder how some people are given the forum of a newspaper to write such claptrap.

While I do think GM has been pressed back into action quicker than would be ideal, our problems stem from a lack of goals. The one ' natural ' goalscorer on our books is GM. The only way to get him back to full fitness is for him to play. So these games where he gets '' acclimatised '' could actually pay dividends for the last few games of the season.

If we had any other striking options then I'm sure Murray would have had a more gradual return to the starting line up. Unfortunately the likes of Gayle, Jerome, are not up to scratch.

Of course we need to find a way of providing the chances for Glenn to convert, but that's another story.

My issue is with the lack of an apostrophe in the title "FANS VIEW". It should be "FAN'S VIEW" because it's the view of one fan, not of the fans as a whole.

Notice how the OP puts the article by an apparent Palace 'fan and columnist' out there then sits back and waits for reaction to put in the paper?! Lazy journalism again and another reason why I'm glad I've stopped buying the Advertiser.

And replace him with that goal scoring machine Camerone Jerome?

I can see an arguement for bringing Gayle in, to play off of Murray (maybe putting Murray into the Chamakh position), but anyone who thinks we could play Gayle as a lone striker is lacking any reasoning. We could maybe swap out Ince for Gayle.

We know that Murray a) can score goals at every level he's been asked to b) can play as a lone target man c) has just returned from being injured for the best part of a year d) is more likely to score than Jerome.

Maybe we should focus on getting the ball to him in the box, rather than 10-15 yards out with has back to goal. To score, you have to have service.

Spaztardo's view more like.
