Morons are on overdrive last 7 days. A lot of people seem to mistake how they feel for what is real. Obviously we all wanted 3 pts from every game, especially the Sunderland game. But we went to what they considered a MUST win game, and held them to a draw. They threw everything they could at us, and we came away with a point. They have two games in hand on us, but given they're Man City and Liverpool I'm not too worried. West Brom's win was the only real upset. Fulham's win over newcastle seemed more fluke than gain, and Evertons last minute winner emotionally broke a very plucky cardiff

At times I think the negative / defensive tactics simply reflect the nature of the games - e.g. the ones we simply cannot afford to lose (most recently Swansea and Sunderland away). While we can't afford to lose any game, I think our record and points haul against teams in the bottom 10, the 'must not lose' games, is probably the best of all the teams scrapping against relegation. Unfortunately, some of the other teams have been able to pick-up some 'freak / suprise' results against the big-boys, the games in which I think we've shown more ambition, but not been able to nick a point. I'd rather lose to Southampton or Moan Utd than Sunderland, Swansea, WBA, Cardiff, Villa etc., given our current situation, and if that's achieved by defensive tactics at this stage, then it's a D from me.

I just wonder if all the D voters would think back if we went down and wonder 'what if we had had more ambition and gone for more games'. Tough call as you could say the same in reverse ie The A's saying what if blah blah blah, We are all different people with different views and personality types. For me I would rather go down fighting rather than with a wimper and thats with weighing up the risks and reward. So a big FAT A from me.

I am sure that any Palace fan worth his or her salt wants a change of manager (don't know where thats come from). The risk of playing near ultra defensive is that if we do go a goal down we will have to change our style of play anyway. We do need to increase our % possession as if not we are forever under pressure and sods law is that we will concede. No doubt TP has plans b and c in his locker, which is why he has the lacks of Bannon on the bench.

Be realistic. Williams*, yeah maybe, but Garvan wasn't even our best midfielder, let alone best player. Tackle shirker for two seasons, who only improved because we played KG and Jedinek behind him. Not much better than Carl Fletcher or Nicky Carle. * at some point in his future.

I think we have one of the most underated and overachieving, hardworking managers in the history of the premier league, and football league. Never relegated, and turned Stoke from mediocrity into a premiership team that even the biggest clubs considered a point away from home a good result. Him and Martinez are probably the third and fourth best managers in the league, after Winging Wanger and Moanrinio - and both have achieved that on a fraction of the glamour or budget of those two. It might not be pretty, but our football rarely has been for as long as I can remember.
