Agree 100 per cent ..the bloke is awful ..brings nothing to this team and before people say about his defensive attributes we have 4 defenders Jedi and Ledley to do that ..Kg is not premier league class and today's miss magnified that

Why does Pulis pick him then?

Or Holloway, or Freedman... First choice starter for each manager since he came to us on loan. Must be doing something right.

Which is.......??

It took him 45 minutes to lay a glove on a Sunderland player today. He is the worst passer in the side, which in this side really is saying something so what we have is a defensive midfielder, the role which is basically break up play and pass short, who cant defend and who cant even pass 5 yards

Sadly KG is out of his depth (and he isn't alone)

Tp has set out the team to sit back for 89 mins of a game. There is no belief in him that the players can do anything but defend. No creativity alowed, in the squad. Its going to be a long grind to the end of the season.

Cant blame just kg, jedi well off the pace, the only decent performances were ward jules and ledley today.

KG bashing again because he misses the only clear cut chance of the game - obviously our strikers and attacking midfielders are so much more clinical !

Give the guy a break, he's in the team to do a job in defensive midfield, which surely a clean sheet suggests he did. Says something that after nearly 90 minutes he was the furtherest up the pitch and found that space.

Its not just the miss, his passing range and awareness is woeful, he can't head the ball for sh1t, and it would seem he also would have difficulty hitting a barn door with a beach ball. So what is his use ?

I see no reason for him to be near the first team other than a negative one in that he's a lump in the middle. I know we are punching above our weight massively this season but IMO we are not helping ourselves with team selection, by constantly picking KG we are basically saying to teams who play us, break us down if you can we pose no attacking threat for 85 mins then try and sneak one in the dying embers of the game.

Having said all that, it's clear and obvious how much we miss Chamakh.

It was a truly awful miss, perhaps if Barry Bannan had been on the pitch he would have hit the onion bag?

I would have liked to see José Campaña and Jonny Williams instead of KG.

We're missing that creative player and one that can give us that spark.

KG's miss was an utter disgrace.

His miss was poor, but again, not deliberate. Quite possibly his first chance this season, so he may be a little rusty. The negativity of our game plan is not exactly conducive to breeding confidence in front of goal. Hard earned ugly point. Any composure in this team disappears once Chamakh is out.

This made me laugh as your one of the members who preaches how tactically awful Pulis is yet clearly hasn't even studied or watched the PL this season let alone Palace.

Did you not watch Everton at home? Disgraceful miss there.

It makes sense why you are one of the people who's come out with remarks of preferring us to get relegated playing "nice football" then stay up fighting and being effective.

Oh the irony.

Edited by Mstrobez (15 Mar 2014 6.18pm)

Oh dear me I forgot his other miss this season. So sorry I'm not as encyclopaedic as you. Where exactly is the irony? I've never said Pulis is tactically awful, I've said his tactics are awful to watch.
Sorry if I'd rather watch a better class of football despite the division rather than you who'd rather watch any old s***e just to sit at the top table with the big boys.
I've studied and watched the prem and Palace all season and we are by far the worst team to watch. Just my opinion but every bit as valid as yours.

Toodles...........

Seen the miss on MoTD now. Not quite as bad as I first heard, but it was still appalling technique - lashing at the ball in a way that was bound to make it swing away from the goal instead of curling in.

Yet another mistake by a second rate player costs us vital points - it's sickening supporting our team and being let down by pathetic blunders like this.

Our team is full of second rate players, but you know what? Let's have KG as this week's scapegoat.

At least KG made the effort to get up there at the end of a hard fought physical game. I thought that's the passion and work ethic us Palace fans usually appreciate.

I like the Premier League, I don't like a large section of our Premier League fans.

This situation reminds me of the last time we were in the Prem and week in week out Dowie would select Tom Soares when all of us could see he was fcuking useless.

KG is very industrious, has a good attitude and I guess is a lovely fella, but he needs replacing now. That miss yesterday was abysmal.
