All this dome and gloom, what's wrong with being positive, we will stay up and starting at blunderland 3 points come on

Nothing wrong with being positive and also nothing wrong with being realistic

Optimistic and pessimistic, technically speaking. Realistical, would require an position that sits between the two points of the spectrum. ie why we might lose, draw or win at Sunderland etc.

Pessimists often mistake their negativity for reality.

prediction. - we wont win another game this season as we dont have the bottle.

We'll get draws where we expect wins (villa and fulham) and the rest we'll either get tonked (Chelsea/Citeh etc) or have it nicked from under our nose.

I'm not sure thats a prediction, it sounds more like an expression of pessimism and an attempt to rationalise a difficult period of time, by lowering expectations to avoid disappointment, whilst maximising the reward for success.

Stop trying to predict the rest of the season! You can't, no one can and no one knows what the remaining games will hold. There's no doubt that the key games away to those lower in the table will be the crucial factors in whether we stay up or go down.. but whether we are more likely to beat is not to say we will and vice versa.. just enjoy the twists and turns that are to come.

I have to totally agree with 'GlaziertoEagle'....
We can drive ourselves all mad studying fixtures...If this..If that...
But I have done exactlty the same. My only prediction is that we will win a game that nobody will expect us to. I really believe it is our turn to stay up.
Let's keep the faith, and whatever happens, we'll be at Selhurst Park next season, supporting OUR team.

After last Saturday I am a lot more pessimistic than I was to be honest

I am struggling to see another three points if, IF we look to conceed so much of the pitch and the ball to the teams we should be more competetive with (i.e Sunderland, Cardiff, Fulham etc.)

I think it's not about how many points will make us safe - it's more about Who we beat to get those points.
Looking at our remaining fixtures,
If(when) we beat Sunderland AND Cardiff, I think We'll Stay up - this will dent their survival chances too much to recover.
On top of this We will pick up the odd point here and there, and that will make us safe, but these two games are the mythical 'Cup Finals' for me.

so that's possibly Safe on 33-35 points. However, if we lost to Cardiff and Sunderland, but beat wetSpam and villa, then 33-35 points may not be enough.

There's nothing wrong with sharing our own predictions, we have all looked and imagined what could happen. We are Palace and we know it'll be a drama, we rarely have a quiet season (hooray for that)

I reckon it'll be a final nail-biter, we'll probably lose to Cardif, get a flukey draw against Chelsea or City, get thumped by Liverpool and lose on the final day to Fulham but stay up on G/Diff meaning Fulham, Cardiff and Norwich go down, Arsenal will do us that long awaited favour and beat Norwich on the final day.

I'm predicting that you won't take JM721 up on his challenge! Also, were you restricting the no-wins to Premier League only? Or All Palace sides?

Most certainly not European.

There was no challenge issued. he stated he'd give a tenner to a charity in the event of Palace (I assume the main, mens, premiership football team for clarification) fail to win another league fixture this season.A valiant gesture and my only part in this is to say that St Christopher's Hospice will be very thankful for the addition ten pounds income.
