I like the player a lot.

He's committed and strong as an ox.

Also, I think his technique is excellent. IMO, he should be encouraged to play a more forward role because of his shooting prowess.

That said, I think O'Keefe has plenty to offer and, as his goal against Sunderland showed, he's excellent at shooting from range.

Come to think of it, we've got quite a lot of decent players. . .

Wasn't he inspired against Cardiff at home? I guess Nelson Mandela can't die every week! !

No point in comparing KG to O'Keefe. Both do a job and who else do we compare? Only use the best player? That means we would have to put out another 10 players, so that's how KG gets a game. Seriously though, KG does exactly what is required. The instruction is as soon as an attacker gets the ball, advance on him quickly to cut down the angles. As soon as he passes the ball drop back until you can block the next player. Simple, boring but effective. KG does it well. If you don't like it blame TP.

Like the playoff final?

O'Keefe was immense when he came on.

Stats don't lie.... and for me bear out my gut feeling that he's out of his depth in the Prem.

I appreciate that he has had good games for us and his attitude and work rate are good.

Moronic post. KG played at Brighton away which was arguably tougher than Wembley, then went off injured after what ten minutes?!

Stats don't lie?! You're old enough and ugly enough to know that's bollocks, Hoof.

No need for insults, clearly we disagree, and opinion is divided on this thread about Kg's worth to the team.

Stats don't lie, Opta monitor every player in the Prem and know who is doing what. You can't argue with it, so it is not bollocks.

You can't record everything in stats though.

They don't record how many times per game he offers himself as an out ball for Gabbidon/Ward when they are stuck on the corner of our own penalty area.

They don't record how many times he shepherds players away from danger or puts pressure on people forcing them to make a loose pass.

That is his job.

But, I'm sure you are right. You and your stats clearly know better than every single manager who has picked a team while KG has been at the club. I mean, just look at the rankings that started this. Martin Demichelis has a higher rating than Vincent Kompany and Per Mertesacker. Robert Snodgrass better than Oscar? Stats don't lie...

Personally, I think in time Ledley will replace him in the team as he can offer the same protection and more going forward. I just think it's unfair to pick on a player who is only doing what his manager asks him to do.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

I have mixed emotions on KG however in his role the less you hear of him the better job he is doing, Plus when he does have a shot on target it goes in whether its flying through the net completely or hits the keeper the keeper will go through the net as well. I do like Dikashweeeee

Think it is just a shame that SOK isn't playing more: he always put in a good shift, has an eye for a good pass, good with the ball and his goal vs S'land was immense. Just give the lad more confidence (by playing him) and we will have a very good PL player in our team.

...there is so much more a player can bring to a game that we and stats cannot see and appreciate, cannot say he doesn't bring anything to our team.

.......has our coach driver done a Poo'yet, without thinking about Gus!

ouch. uncalled for.

Didn't see the match last night but did Roy listen to the call of the petition regarding Cleverley and leave himout?

Yea he didn't make it on. And I'm not trying to be mean but they really are very similar. Lots of effort and running about directed in aimless directions, a couple of good passes a game mixed with lots of bad ones and the occasional goal.

Alex Bruce for Hull is also in the opta stats worst team and he partners Curtis Davies week in, week out who is having a great season.

While I’m not saying Bruce is a good CB, he clearly offers something to Hull and Davies, maybe similar to what KG offers Jedinak.

Stats don’t tell you everyting..

No... they don't tell you that his dad is the manager and will be picked whatever.
