If we play the same as the first half then we will not win another game today we got lucky had Jules not made a world class save it would have been game over.

While I think getting a point at Swansea was a definite positive I was not comfortable with our mid-field. As much as I want Ward to play at full back I think we are going to have to play him in mid-field because today I was not overly impressed with KG and Ledley. I think this mid-field area of our team is one which Pulis needs to dwell upon because its the power house of our attack and I did not see enough effort coming from this area today to make me believe we could generate an attacking force there from. I think I would be happier with Puncheon playing mid-field and perhaps even Okeefe but we have to focus on his area to see how we can improve it and get some decent through balls to Murray.

The balance between the attack and defence was all wrong 1st half, 7 outfield defensive minded players and 3 further up. If nobody can bring the ball out of defence there is a huge gap which sucks the attacking players back as well. Need to be a lot more adventurous in midfield, particularly as we do now have enough flexibility in the squad to set up in a variety of formations.

We are not Chelsea and not anywhere good enough at this level to play the containing game.

The tactics made the players nervous and edgy and mistake ridden and they couldn't get rid of the ball fast enough in the first half. Usually to an oppo player.

We attack sensibly from the off. Not gung-ho. It's the only way. Teams are all over us when we sit back and we are not in control at all.

TP admitted he got the tactics wrong. I think in the first half he wanted to stifle Swansea right across the pitch, but the formation didn't really work

First half we sat far too deep and none of the five man midfield went forward to support Chamakh who then dropped cdeeper and deeper - we played with eleven in our own half. Had midfielders got forward then it may have been different but something was lost in translation from TP to the team.

Second half we were considerably more positive and it was almost a 180 degree turnaround. We are still not incisive enough and carry little goal threat but in Murray we have an extremely talented striker. The man is a class act and worthy of his place in this league. Defenders hate him as he pulls them all over the place and instinctively knows where the goal is.

Why so many are having a go at TP is beyond my comprehension. This is the best manager we have had in many a year and next season HIS team will fare considerably better should we stay up.

First of all - Pulis in please - no need to have a go at him in my opinion even though it sounds like he might have got it wrong in the first half.
We seem to lack ambition at times which is probably the problem for us against teams who TP preceives are better than us - however - if we have a clean sheet at half time then he is proved to be right.
If we had gone at Swansea from the off would we have conceded more - who knows?
I think against S'hampton and Villa at home he will give it a go - they are must win games beyond doubt - win them and we have 33 points - not many more to fin after that.
A bit more belief in ourselves - with TP at the helm from the start of the season and with our squad we would have been safe by now!

Think TP & co at the bench learned a lot from this game of truly 2 halves. The faces of Gerry Francis and Paul Ince just after 2 half started said it all, but credit to all the lads! And a special mention of our goalie, his save with his right hand/arm was pure and simple ultraworld class. But please never so deep again, everyone...

It seemed to me that Tony Pulis changed the tactics at half-time to be more direct, (hoofball), which worked fine. I'm pleased to say that this was the first time I've seen this season where we have played in this manner for long periods of the game. I'm also pleased to see that generally speaking hoofball hasn't been our preferred option.

Very good point away from home.

Very impressed with Bolasie today because in the 2nd half he was constantly a threat, only problem is that his final product isn't always the best.

Glenn Murray was the big change though, won almost every header and took the risk and made the run (something Jerome wouldn't of done) and managed to get our pen.

Delighted at the point and we could of even won at the end of the game.

Only problem is that our first half was very poor and better sides will punish us for that but to fight back to get a draw is a good result for us.

Well done to Tony Pulis for also deciding to book Chamakh and Thomas for their dives today, diving is not needed in this side and in Thomas' case could of lead to a winning goal.

????

When did Chamakh dive?
It seems Pulis will be in an army of one when it comes to clamping down on diving, should endear him to his players.

We now know Penny was quite right, except he fined them not booked them. But MOTD couldn't find any footage of Chamakh's dive, so TP must be taking this really seriously if he even fines them for minor infringements. I reckon he thinks it's cowardice to dive, better to stay up and take responsibility. What a t*t Jerome was not to have a go. Obviously he could see the defender coming, predicted a body check (which very nearly came) and either didn't want to take the pain of the impact or just simply wanted to cheat. Stand up laddy, this is a TP team, we don't get bullied we do the bullying.

I would put Ward at LB as Parr has been poor.
