I think we should have a whip round on HOL to pay for a new contract. All donations to my email please and I'll pass them on

If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong

I thought keepers played on into their 50's (slight exaggeration perhaps).

This would be a sad day...

The club will have to stock Jules black armbands & Jules hankies

We move in the direction of our thoughts.
Just think a little.

What a magnificent servant the man has been but sadly the signing of Hennesey was the writing on the wall. There is no way we would pay £3 million for a goalkeeper to sit on the bench and TP clearly sees Hennesey as the future.

I will be gutted to see Jules leave. It will be the end of an era but don't underestimate how good Hennesey is. He is a quality keeper who will only get better.

For what it's worth I think Jules deserves a 2 year contract at least.

Hennesey will have a hard act to follow but we have to get behind him and not turn on him at the slightest mistake because of our love for Jules. He will be missed when he does go but we can always pop down his steak house

If we stay up he will IMO be offered a lucrative 2 year deal. If however we don't then they will not have 2 keepers on massive wages on long term contracts.
Jules is a ledge a completely humble man true ambassador
for Palace. They should be looking at Real Madrid for a testimonial.

Close.... But Nigel Martyn was a better all round keeper than Jules. I dont know if you ever saw him play but Big Nige was quality!!

Disgusting not to have offered him anything. I could just about accept them saying he can have a new contract but Hennessey will be no.1 (despite Jules doing nothing wrong to be dropped) but to have no offered anything whatsoever at this late stage is a complete lack of respect to a legend.

Yes I totally agree!!!!> Sometimes I wonder what actually goes on in the minds of managers and directors.Very often we do not see any sense of decency when it comes to handling players especially those who have been loyal to the Club for years. Sounds to me as if Jules has been told to move on and I think if I were in his shoes I might seriously consider retiring. I certainly would not play second fiddle at Selhurst that's for sure!. Well thank Jules, you have been the very best and I am sorry you are in all probability getting the shaft but it happens to all of us in time,I got it after twenty years of hard grafting..

I can picture walking into Jules restaurant and him walking around the tables telling stories to the customers about his playing days at Palace and then he makes one last comeback in a Palace shirt at the champions league final and saves a last minute penalty against Barcelona. Then knocks out Messi with one punch at the final whistle.

He will be offered a contract. A few players are out of contract this summer and neither player or club want to negotiate properly until we know what league we'll be playing in next season.

Right now I suspect there is a Championship contract and a Premiership contract sitting in SP's office waiting to be presented when we know where we are.

Totally agree with this scenario.
If we are still a prem side then we will have Argentina's no1 and Wales no1 battling it out for the starting job.

Totally believed every part of that, then you spoilt it with the penalty save comment.
