It doesn't get easier than that; click on your user name and click on any of your posts; QED. A very poor response to my comments.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

I've heard it from people very much in the know that this was the case and is still known by ex employees of the time. Perhaps you would care to name the people involved. Happy to, just not on here. If you're engaging enough to have a beer with once in my life, I might impart my knowledge onto you.

Lined his own pocket , Where is the specific evidence ? Be grateful if you could furnish us with the salient facts.
Right one for you what contractors built the sinking Holmesdale?

football is primarily judged on success and our 3rd place in the top flight is unlikely to be equalled Gave Sir Steve his first managing job which was probably been one of the youngest management appointments ever at that time. Noades was initially open to the media and fans input, a forerunner to cpfc2010's policy. Ultimately we became a bit of a monster and a victim of our own success. After the relatively failures of 69 and 79 ; the team of 89 went on to achieve what the previous teams could not sustain. For once we reached our potential under Noades stewardship which is no mean achievement. As one of the 5,000 in the 80s i witnessed the turn round. RN deserves his award and cpfc2010 deserve credit for this tribute Edited by maxipalace (15 Feb 2014 8.32am) Edited by maxipalace (15 Feb 2014 8.34am)

Right one for you what contractors built the sinking Holmesdale? We had to sell players to survive in the early days ! Who says that Noades pocketed the money from transfers ? As for the 'Holmesdale' it was built in Noades' time and is still being used so it is hardly dangerous. I remember the open Holmesdale terrace with a mud bank at the top ! And of course Noades was responsible for the 'Whitehorse' or if you like "Sainsburys' stand - He was a great believer in improving one's facilitities

He was one of our most successful chairman, yes he should have invested more at certain points. All those that say he syphoned off money from Palace, he solely owned the club and therefore it was his money. Jordan did the same if not worse and he took us into admin, yet some people feel sympathy for Jordan, possibly the same people who detest Noades.

Noades WAS syphoning off funds for his golf clubs. One of the Sunday broadsheets ran an expose of how he was doing it. Basically his golf clubs invoiced CPFC for use of their facilities. These include regular CPFC board meetings and xmas parties. Not illegal, but unusual that the Selhurst Park facilities weren't used when they were plenty big enough to cope. Copies of the club's accounts were shown to support these allegations. Noades also had a lot of our players signed to him and his wife as their agent. This allowed him to engineer lucrative transactions when he took over at Brentford again to the dtriment of CPFC. The building of the Holmesdale stand (under his stewardship) was done cutting corners. That is why it leaks and the facilities are p1ss poor to this day. We had a grant to build that stand following the Taylor report on Hillsborough encouraging all clubs to go all seater. I personally think Noades should not be honoured, but just let him lie and we should all move on.
