I have kids who attend the game with me. Also as previously stated this is also aimed at raising the enjoyment levels for those kids. They can feel part of something on a matchday. It will ne no where near as intimidating as the hf on a matchday. The admin of the group is only 16 also so she wont be doinganything too wrong. This is for the good of everyone mate

This may be seen by some of you as not needed or cringey. A group has been formed on facebook by a few of us who are looking to generate an atmosphere in our stand. Now would be great to get as many involved in a matchday to help see our team survive this season so if you are interested please head to facebook and search whitehorse fury ( not my choice of name) and join in the growing support. #wearethewhitehorse. If you are going to be rude or abusive about this idea then just pass on this post cheers

Great idea, credit to you for trying, ignore any negative responses you get as its easy for people just to say it won't work.
I've seen a number from the whitehorse stand that post on here over recent seasons about wanting to create an atmosphere there. Seems to me there is a great opportunity to get like minded supporters together.

If you can make enough noise ourselves and V block will do a 'we're the arthur....were the whitehorse' sing off with you

ps I've no doubt you'll consider kids etc before people turn this thread into a negative, its a family stand so I'm sure its all families that will be involved, kids love a positive atmosphere, HF youth section

Good luck with it, it's nice to see someone trying to get things going. Unfortunately I think you may struggle a bit, just with the stand dynamics and the fact it's the Family Stand (I think that's right, I know there's a family section in the Main Stand by the tunnel now too). A group being together is the only way forward I think as that is what I feel is key to the Holmesdale Fanatics, others around them then joining in and of course the drum is very important.

I feel sorry for those in the Whitehorse as you're furthest away from the Holmesdale and it can't be easy to join in when you've got the Away fans now on one side and the Main Stand (who are almost silent song wise, or it certainly sounds like it) on the other side.

The atmosphere has been even better this year, maybe it just depends on where you stand/sit but it only really feels like half the lower tier and then sometimes the Arthur who ever really get going though. It's the rest of the lower tier who need to get singing as well really, then the Main Stand might join in more and the ground can get really loud. But the general population of the Main Stand is a different type of fan, no offence but I reckon there's plenty or Thermos flasks being opened at half time!

I think moving the away fans down the other end a few seasons back has killed the banter completely but I can see why they did it, as the very little trouble there ever was appears to have gone and the club saves more money on policing inside the ground.

It's a cost/work thing for a lot of people but I think most people who go away will agree the atmosphere we can create is outstanding and has really got Palace noticed this season. I was ready to sing 'stand in the rain and stand in the sun' especially last night, even if it was just the second half we made, but boy was that a long and disappointing 11 hours on the coach!

Back in the day the Whitehorse used to be the place to be.

Back in the day, the Whitehorse used to be the away end and spent many a game there when I got to the ground late and the other 3 home sides were sold out. Remember the copper telling me to hide my scarf before I went in watching Palace v Spurs there.

I remember those days and especially one Chelsea match back in the Chelsea skinhead days of the 60s. For whatever reason (probably the only ticket I could get) I was amongst them standing behind the goal. We were losing 5-0 when we scored right in front of me. All I could do to celebrate was to whisper to my Chelsea neighbour in an off hand sort of way "good goal".

Always remembering walking from the Holmesdale to the Whitehorse end at half time!

The main stand is perfect for a type of fan

Everyone needs their place in the stadium to enjoy the game the way they want to.
Main stand for those that want to enjoy the game in peace, whitehorse for the families, AW and Holmesdale for those looking to create a more intense atmosphere

Could be good fun changing the lyrics to some of the songs/chants.

Were the boys in red and blue, WHO are you...And this is what he said GO AWAY.

The Referee's an ANCHOR

South London is Wonderful... It's full of SWEETS, TOYS and Palace

Obviously there's loads more but this is what I sing when I take my boys with me.

Brilliant idea mate. Against West Brom I noticed more noise coming from your end so looks like it's already having an impact!
