i remember loads of people wetting themselves when we signed him and I got my head bitten off you saying he's too small for a centre back and too slow for a right back.

Quite a costly mistake for the club - probably over 1m in wages and transfer fee.

No better than Rambo and that's when he was fit and not struggling with other issues.

Waste of space, should have taken him to court for breach of contract.

Bit harsh. Just read his twitter thanking CPFC and wishing us good luck (via Deano's post). A professional response from him potentially calls for a bit more from you.

Cock and balls.

In no other profession would anyone tolerate an employee never being able to do his job due to alcoholism and/or personal issues whilst maintaining them on their full wage.

Kindest thing we could have done is taken him to court and forced him to get a grip and revive his career to pay his wages back.

Precisely, it's not any other profession, is it? (and have you never heard of Jeffrey Bernard?) We came to the right decision over his future due to his problems. He wishes us well, you should do the same. I don't live in court claims culture. Get over it. Move on.

Also, you're not his employer!

Yes we are-our hard earned was paying that f#####s bloated wages every week you knob!

We don't. We pay to watch Palace. (Let's not get childish SE9)

So apart from a bit of TV money where does the dough come from to pay his bar bill? Its not rocket science or being childish. We pay our season ticket money in the reasonable expectation that a player will train and try his hardest rather than pissing it up the wall.As for a previous poster Kenny Sansom is a totally different case and you are a fool to compare them.He was a Palace hero who gave us years of great service before going off the rails[unlike this parasite.]

It's only an expectation not a rule, a law or dead cert. He can breach that contract and CPFC (because they're his employer), as the people that look after him as an asset, can take a decision on whether to make a claim against or bless a troubled person.

And when was the last time your employer or a client who paid an invoice to your employer had the right to tell you how to spend your wages?

So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet.
