For those that didn't see it already I posted this on another thread, probably more relevant to the discussions on here

This is completely subjective... but here is how the table would turn out if West Brom, Stoke, Cardiff, Sunderland, West Ham, Fulham and us all picked up 3 points for every home game and 1 point for every away game against teams in the bottom half. Obviously only useful to compare who has the "easiest" run in, we have the hardest run in and our away form will be seriously important.

We pick have the most difficult run in and Cardiff the easiest.

Cardiff - 38
West Brom - 37
Sunderland - 37
Stoke - 36
Palace - 34
Fulham - 32
West Ham - 31

I can see your thinking here but isn't that a flawed method as you are distributing too many points out across the teams?

If each match is between two teams in the bottom half then all these teams are playing each other. A home team can't get 3 points in the same match as the away team gets 1 point.

Cardiff if they continue being so poor in Feb may well be screwed.

Fulham are really struggling. All we need now is for Carroll to get injured again!

As I said it is just for a comparison of the run in, some teams will pick up 3 points away against bottom half teams and some will pick up points against top 10 sides, it is just a way of comparing the run in rather than meant to be a predictor of likely points. We are quite likely to pick up the 11 points, but it is unlikely Cardiff will pick up 20... I think it does show that Fulham and West Ham are in real trouble and that we will probably be safe with 14 points.

What can we get from those 5 away games?

Swansea, Sunderland, Cardiff, West Ham, Fulham last game.

Points from those would be priceless.

These aways could be the key. Every one of these the home team will be under immense pressure. We can picks wins up in two or maybe three of these.

Since losing to Fulham we have played the same amount of league games as we have left. We've dropped 18 and made 20 points. It is going to be close, but if we get through the next two month without dropping back down level with Stam and Cardiff we may shine through.

I think points against West Brom and Southampton at home are essential. I genuinely struggle to see where we are going to pick up points aside from these games until we go to Cardiff in April.

Just being a realist...

Very important win.....The odds are still against us.....West Brom at home is probably the only game we might expect something.....The easier games are away.....Brrrrr....Pulis will be a legend if he can pull this off.

Do any of the other likely sides have a harder run in than us?

I think we should aim for 15 points before the Fulham match. Hopefully that will see us safe. Hope for a close title race and that should take some unlikely points off of our rivals.

15 points will be more than enough. It will be hard, but it can be done. But we can't rely on keeping clean sheets and just scoring once. I wish tonight Hull had equalised and we went on and scored the winner.

What you on mate? Sounds as if there is a lot of it and that it is not expensive!. Go for a rehab as soon as you can.!
