Why on earth play Wilbrahimovic ?

Its not exactly as if we don't know how he will play.

Pulis hasn't seen him play, I think Wilbs is better than Gayle and Jerome and is more of a threat, Can hold the ball up well and has a great footballing brain, Just cannot bloody score, although he did score for the U21's in the week.

How did he manage to play for the U 21?I thought he might get a game for the under 50's!

U21/development team, both Paddy, Wilbs played on Monday. Obviously not an age limit, probably allowed a certain number of cart horses in the side.

I am assuming we are serious about The Cup so while I realize its risky to play so many first teamers we want a win and we also want to give the first team every opportunity to play together so as to become a cohesive unitperon,Ward and Parr,Delaney and Gabbidon,Jedink and Guediora,Bannan and Bolassie, Chammakh and Gayle. Subs:Price,Moxey,Marriappa,Moxey,Jerome,Puncheon and Okeefe. Obviously we are still thin up front but who knows, somebody might strike oil one day?. I would be inclined to get Puncheon and Okeefe on early if we are getting the run around.

The case for fielding our strongest side:

- In spite of our lofty league position, on the balance of probabilities we are still more likely to go down than not.
- We have the strongest squad we've had for many years and, if we go down, are likely to have for many years to come.
- Other Prem teams almost all put out weakened sides.
- Therefore, this season we have the best chance we maybe have ever/will ever have to win the FA Cup.
- Wigan may have gone down, but they did something we've never managed to do in over a century.

I'm not saying I necessarily promote this view but, if we get past Wigan, I think we might as well make hay during our brief spell in the sunshine and start taking the competition seriously.

On the team for Wigan, if Guediora's only just back, I imagine his recovery times will be less than the fully fit lads. So if he is to play against Hull, I wouldn't give him more than 45 mins versus Wigan.

I'd play a full strength side - if we don't we will be lucky to win. Chamakh and Gayle with Puncheon and Bolasie as wide players. Same defence and holding players as stoke game. Players should be able to cope with 2 games in 4 days - Tuesday night won't be a problem.

I like to think Boateng will be involved. Pulis said he was impressed last time.

I saw Wigan at Leeds earlier this season and they were woeful. Watson and Boyce (without being biased) were their best 2 players by a mile. Leeds werent anywhere near their best and won 2-0.

The team I would put out:

Alexander

Moxey
McCarthy
Delaney/Gabbidon
Hunt (if fit, if not Mariappa)

O'Keefe
Williams
Bannan
Hiram Boateng

Gayle
Wilbraham

And If Murray is anywhere near fit then stick him on the bench along with Price, Guedioura, Garvan and some promising kids.

Would not want Chamakh, Jedinak, Puncheon, Jerome, Ward, Speroni and Bolasie anywhere near this match.

I would be disappointed if we didnt win even with this lineup
