I was really pleased for him yesterday. The frustration at the s***eness of his penalty subsided quickly and was replaced by concern for his confidence. He looked distraught immediately after missing, like he instantly feared the miss would define his reputation (like a Geoff Thomas England career or a Ronnie Rosenthal finish). To hit the winner so soon after is perfect rehabilitation. I think maybe Pulis deserves credit too, because he down-played the significance very publicly and took measures to show he still had confidence in him. Someone like Di Canio would probably have told MOtD that he was s*** and deserved to be dropped.

After giving him dog's abuse all week I actually felt sorry for him today after seeing him on MotD. It had clearly been a difficult week for him and I'm glad for him he made the difference today. Did anyone else notice his celebration today? Looked like a "yah boo sucks to you" gesture, maybe at his detractors amongst us. Can't say I blame him either.
He does it pretty much every time he scores. Yes, others have pointed that out too thanks.

Hopefully getting the goal yesterday will have done him the world of good & agree Pulis has done well to not make too big an issue of it. Here's hoping he feels better now & will go on to prove to us & himself that TP's faith in him is well placed.

Agree with everyone on here, really think he showed fantastic character on Saturday to pick himself up and go from Villain to Hero. If we bring him in on a permanent this window I think that would be a shrewd bit of business by Pulis as he is one of our few technically gifted players who carries a genuine goal threat.
