considering it was his first start (against an established premiership team) for a long time, he did well - we all knew exactly what he was on for - to slow the game down when in and around their box.

i don't get why some people couldn't see that! he held the ball up, as the clock ticked away and he managed to feed people - guarantee if Puncheon scored after his dummy, he would have been heralded a class player, such are some sections of the palace crowd.

I like him - he and chamakh should be given a run out together v wigan

i would try him and gayle v wigan...big man, little man combo. Hold up, knock down, and lay on balls for gayle to run onto.

The only time we kept the ball from a Jules kick was after he came on. It is by far his greatest asset and I think it should be used until we have another striker. Chamakh is not a top man, he plays far better behind someone and has the technical ability needed to score goals. Wilbraham is very very good at holding the ball up and allowing players to get around him. It's beggars belief that you can slate him for his side foot shot when hes played no first team football since August and his first shot he had was well controlled and on target, more than Jerome has managed in 1/2 a season of football. He is not a goal scorer and doesn't claim to be but for our style of football we need a top man who the ball sticks too, wilbraham does that better than anyone else we have.

I was always under the impression that if you had a job as a centre forward you would at some point claim to score goals.
I may be way off here but just a thought

I've got a lot of time for Wilbs. I think he could have made the difference against Spurs.

What he does, is give the rest of the team time to push up, and that takes pressure off the defence and gives us more opportunities.

He has a lot of physical presence, that we are going to be lacking against some of the teams we are fighting to stay up.

I'd like to see him in the squad, and I think he will work well with FFS.

There is so much talk about individual quality, but it is good teamwork that will keep us up in the end.

We have the right manager, most of the right squad, and more passion than the rest of the PL put together.

COYP, we will not be pushed out of this league through lack of effort.

3 pts against Hull will give us a buffer for the game against the Arse.

Wilbrahim and Moxey clever piece of managment by TP and AW did his job perfectly. Which is NOT scoring goals, unfortunately..

I wonder if any of you remember Trevor Aylott? Abraham reminds me of him. The classic donkey. "Ooh he holds the ball up well and is great with the fans". So what? This is the premier league. He doesn't deserve to be here. One of his 'shots' was literally like a pass back to the Stoke goalkeeper. Embarrassing.

And no, I'm not knocking the team, I'm knocking the decision to bring on a donkey like AW in the premier league. I thought we played a good game, and deserved the win. I'm sure it meant a huge amount to Pulis.

Job done. Unlucky not to score, and set up Puncheon with a sitter, all in the space of ten minutes or so and ran down the clock brilliantly. Underated player.
