Anyone who thinks Chamakh was s*** today knows f*** all about football. One of the few players who is able to retain the ball, bring others into play, pick a pass and on top of that he works damn hard. If you pair him with a finisher we have a great chance of staying up.

Spopt on. I think he is less effective when played right up front because we don't have another good central attacker to link up with him. So a lot of those superb touches - how good is his chest control, by the way! - go to waste.

Nevertheless, as I said earlier in the thread he was great today and put in a real shift for us, standing ovation from the crowd to prove it.

this

chammers is quality. His hold up play, movement, off the ball, touch etc...id say he was one of, if not the best, technical players we have. Excellent today. Do the crowd normally give standing ovations to a s*** performance???

If he were to keep us up this season, from the position we were in when he took charge...he should really get the manager of the year award.

With the combined media dislike of Palace and TP, there's a cat in hell's chance of that though!

Chamakh was awful. To be replaced by Wilbraham who actually got stuck in to Stokes defence should have been embarrassing to him. The only good performance was from Guediora who ran out of steam due to match fitness.

Chamakh was taken off so Wilbs could waste time by the corner flag while getting kicked by the rather aggressive Stoke defenders..

Are you saying that Delaney and Gabbidon did not do well containing Crouch, or that Jedi continually broke down the Stoke attacks?

Watching Pulis do interviews, you can tell that he knows what he is going. He is credible. IH was like a vaguely irritating and somewhat pissed best man at a bad wedding..

Ah my mistake, I misread and thought you meant Chamakh.

I had a lot of reservations about Pulis but i've got to say i've been hugely impressed by what hes done so far, he just looks like somebody who knows exactly what hes doing. This is the same squad that Ollie didn't have a clue what to do with, yet TP has organised them and most of all given them self belief. When IH left we were a laughing stock amongst the media but nobody is laughing now. Out of all the names that were bandied about for the job i honestly believe he is the only manager capable of keeping us up.

You mean someone like Gayle? Cannot understand why Dwight wasn't used today. This boy can finish!

I was all for TP coming in. He did a great job at Stoke, getting them into, and keeping them in, the Prem. For me, of the names linked to the vacant manager's job, he was the one who I thought had the best chance of keeping us in the Prem.

Keith Millen deserves a lot of credit for what he did during the period between managers. He tightened the defence, and had the team working in a way not too dissimilar to how they play under TP.

Chatting to some Stoke fans before the match, they referred to TP as "The King", and they had no doubts at all that we would stay up with him in charge.
