Extremely unfair and factually incorrect to describe Ron Noades as a thug. Very poor choice of words and timing.

They will be the ones that currently make up half the team and the bench most match days?

There were a couple of areas where we could've spent money elsewhere. Gayle and Campagna possibly as we lack goals and Gayle cannot really start this season and us earn enough points. Dobbie was a promotion commitment.

The rest were mainly not disasters. Probably about a quarter of them weren't good options, the rest have either been injured or rushed in with 4 Palace debuts being made. We essentially had the same back 6, all we needed to do was minimise the changes. Millen and now TP are doing it and playing with less emphasis on dictating the game.

It's about opinions really, I would have Gayle up top with Chamakh as I think Gayle is a natural goal scorer that obviously means we can't play with two defensive mids but I personally I'd prefer that. The point I was trying to make to BH, was that most of the players brought are doing a good job for us and to use his phraseology is just sensationalism.

I just wish Steve Parish would give it a rest about spending and give us, the fans some credit and realise we all f***in know we are not in the big spenders bracket!
I'm sick to the back teeth of him reminding us at every opportunity of the fact we have to be careful with transfer fees and wages,
afterall was it not he and the last manager who managed to royally f*** up the last window and sign a bucketload of players who are not good enough?
I would respectfully suggest Mr Parish that you stay out of the media spotlight and get on with helping Mr Pulis get the players he requires to help us in our quest to remain in this league.

As long as people keep shouting about how we should be spending £8-10m+ on strikers on vastly inflated wages, I think it's only fair for him to keep repeating this. I'm sure he'd rather say something else also...

I hope Parish was playing the transfer game because if we don't spend in the next 2 weeks we will most probably go down. If we don't then Pulis may be our greatest ever manager.

This. I'd like to think this was more for other clubs and agents information to show we won't be held to ransom on transfer fee's wages etc.

£16.5 Million on players and what have we got in return ?
Transfer business was a total and utter shambles.

Gayle, great potential
Guedioura, looks a good buy
Hunt, loan him out & next season will see the best of him
Mariappa looking settled, playing out of position.
Bannan, looks another good buy
Campana, hopefully will come good

So Mr Willopidea, not all our summer transfer business, were utter shambles, as you put.

I wish, as I said on another thread, that Parrish would shut the f*&k up. That man is a haircut in search of a camera and a microphone. Moody has been hired as the expert in the transfer market/man responsible for making things happen so it might be an idea for Parrish to let someone who actually has a skill set in the area of player movements handle media questions on the subject. Otherwise, what's the point of having Moody?

Many of us have made the point that we would rather that Steve Parish didn't say anything at all

Interesting to hear Alladyce saying how he needed to strengthen West Ham this January. He too bemoaned the fact that he had, so far, been unable to.

So not just us.

More nonsense from you Syd. Steve Parish is the boss and controls the money - not Iain Moody so is the main man. Also, he is much better with dealing with the media than Moody whose job is not speaking to the media. I want our chairman to speak to the fans via the media - otherwise how will we know what is going on!

SP on 5 live today just confirming that we won't be spending big in the window. He did say though that we are talking to a player who has a Spanish agent. Anyone know where Messi's agent comes from?

Is it Don Quixote trying to sell a donkey ?
