Why would Swansea let him go? Makes the bench every game, first sub for Bony, only signed him in the summer.

Be a good signing but can't see it happening.

Have we got anyone they'd do a trade for? Williams perhaps?!!!

It also mentions Neil Taylor who I've wanted us to get since we got promoted , but he is first choice at Swansea again now! And has been mentioned gomis has been second choice for Swansea and monk seems to rate him highly , we have no chance of getting either , which is annoying as they are two players we are crying out for.

Neil Taylor was signed by Paulo Sousa from non-league Wrexham for £150K + 10% of any future fee whilst Gomis was a 'Free' from Metz. And Ashley Williams only cost £400K from Stockport. Not bad scouting !

Some wiki info. Aparently he signed for Swansea on a free, and an offer from Palace of £x million would represent a decent profit.

Would represent for Palace a decent step up, albeit for a player who is already 29. Would Swansea sell a player who is useful to them as an impact sub? Doubtful, but worth trying.

Their other main striking options are Marvin Emnes (Who is sometimes deployed out wide) and Modou Barrow whom Garry Monk signed from Ostersunds for £1.5 Mill. Michu is out on loan and unlikely to return.

If bony goes to the African cup of nations, you can't see swansea selling their back up striker

I think that certain teams transfer activity could be influenced by the 'African Cup of nations'.

Leaving aside the likelihood of it happening (who knows, really?), finally a player I'm actually happy we're linked with.

I cannot see this happening. Bony is away for a month at the ACoN and is also being heavily linked with other PL clubs in the January window.

Whilst a sale would give Swansea plenty of cash they are not going to want to sell the only two recognised strikers they have half way through the season.

Of course, the transfer window is still open AFTER the Africa Cup of Nations group stages finish. That would allow a deadline day transfer!
