Even in a sleepy North Yorkshire town 300 miles away from Selhurst I have had to endure a smirking weed fan who constantly wears his team shirt in the local pubs.
Id never mentioned to him I supported Palace until I went to my local to watch the play off final in my Palace top... The total look of surprise from this guys face was amazing.
Guess who he shouted for during the match? Correct it wasn't for the Eagles. To be fair he really didn't have much to go on because of our dominance throughout the game.
It all went quiet when our Mr Phillips slotted the penalty.. I quietly supped my pint on the completion of the celebrations and on my way out past him I leaned over and whispered in his ear 'W****r. Not seen him since!!!
