But back to the topic, I've got no problem with people protesting - but look how many kids in pushchairs will be dressed with anti Bush posters.

Trivial fact - Palace used to win 5-1 at least once a season, maybe next season?

parents doing what they think best for their kids? i used to love demos when i was a kid! (well, until i discovered hanging round the whitgift centre looking for boys was more rewarding!) any time kids spend with their familes is good time! you can't say not all parents push their beliefs onto their kids til their old enough to decide for themselves....

errr..red jumper and jeans - bit dull eh?!

Is this any different to dressing some poor kid up in a Palace top while he sits there murmuring "Dad this is crap please can I support Man U like all the other kids in my class?"

"Shut up son - we're spending quality time together"

You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name.

My estimation of Stephen Byers has increased tenfold (something I certainly never imagined that I would hear myself say!). According to the Gruaniad, he has set out proposals to help Democrats in key swing states if the White House refuses to to abandon punitive trade sanctions against the UK.

This relates to the tariffs imposed on imports of British steel (deemed illegal by the WTO), that were designed to shore up Bush's vote. If they aren't removed by December, exports from Florida, Wisconsin, Iowa and Tennessee will be targeted. If the EU hits Florida's citrus business then Bush could pay a heavy electoral penalty.

It's heartening to know that even the arch-Blairites are hostile towards Bush.

There is someone hanging off the gates at Buckingham Palace - so much for the extra security - GB will not be pleased

Which is all very well, but who is left to protect the people who actually pay for the police in this country?

That's just the ramblings of a madman

It's costing us $5000000 for him to come here - I say stick to video conferences and spend the money where it is needed!

It's normal for host nation to pay for the security of their guests. When our PM or Royals visit the States the American tax payer picks up the tab. That's just the way things work.

Yeah, but the Queen doesn't ask for every member of the SAS and SBS to accompany her or for her corgis to have bullet-proof baskets every time she goes stateside, does she?

And whatever happened to 'no one man is bigger than the presidency'?

Me unsubtle?
Me, with a jar of vaseline on the bedside table?
Me, with a specially adapted milking stool from the sex shop at Frankfurt airport?
Me, sitting in J block without any knickers on?
Surely not!

be beautiful
