Great times and great football to watch especially the best left back I've seen - King Kenny. Kermit 8 is dead right about Mike Elwiss too .

Greatest Palace side ever, thought anything was possible, when you remember Forest were Kings of Europe. Suppose sale of Kenny was the begining of the end.

100% agree. Saturday 29th September 1979 is a day for the history books. The period from 1972 to 1980 was a special one in our club's history.

And also agree re King Kenny. The best player I ever saw in a Palace shirt. After he left things were never the same...

Supporting Crystal Palace since 19.45 on 29th August 1972 (approximately)!

Amen to that. Our record before Christmas (particularly at home) was superb. Our form afterwards was a sign of things to come, namely relegation the following year.

As for the poster with his memory of Doris' goal against Liverpool, it really was a screamer, one of the best ever at Selhurst. The majority of the 42,000 corwd went nuts. (For the record it was January 1977)

Spirit of 1974
