They were talking about testing for care home staff on TV this morning. Staff at one home in Norfolk were told they could be tested in Sheffield! You could not make it up

Indeed. I’ll just spark up for health reasons from now on.

Is this the time I regret never having tried a cigarette in my life?

Or if you earn pittance as a carer so don’t drive. Result is you continue to spread it around or don’t go back to work when you can.

A sensible move by Germany to make wearing masks in public compulsory in most situations [Link]

If we start opening up more in May combined with a measure such as this, that may well be enough to keep the numbers under control and snuff out the prospect of further lockdowns.

The near future will be staying clear of places and people you think or know work in certain jobs. All in it together. Apart from when you want a grocery delivery over someone who needs one or you see someone in care worker uniform. It’s going to be an eye opening few months when people come out of home again.

You might not have a choice. Prescriptions are free in Scotland so I’ll enjoy getting my fags in the NHS.

Decent masks will have to be more accessible than they are at the moment though

Nothing proven yet but short term social smoking could even help. But I would say that being a chimney.

Yes that's a real problem and probably also part of the reason they haven't already given the stamp of approval to a measure like this.
