I am absolutely delighted that you, and your comrades, have firmly shoved your fingers in your ears and are refusing to accept that Corbyn is just another politican. It means that he will continue to be impervious to criticism and continue with his work making Labour unelectable. Corbyn does have Stalinist tendencies. He has destroyed democracy in the Labour Party, his acolytes use crude language to suppress internal debate (even worse when you consider what happened to Angela Eagle's office) and his economic policies are tinged with Soviet thought. I find your crude analogy that a Trump is a 'fascist' amusing. Don't get me wrong, I don't like the guy for a number of reasons but he isn't a fascist and you will find it self defeating if you continue with this line. However, I can't alter your thoughts nor do I really want to. Finally, you will realise one day that all that s***e you have sucked in about a Corbyn, laughably that he didn't 'want the leadership' when his campaign group, which became Momentum were all set up and funded bloody quickly for a shy, pushed candidate, is all typical politicians smoke and mirrors. Ah how I've missed your aggressive arguing approach Matthew I have to say though since I've taken a break from this site I've slightly lost the choleric force myself, so I'll let your delightful personal barbs and supercilious irony slide... One question I really do have though: you clearly are of the opinion that Corbyn is just another careerist/opportunist politician. But if he was, why did he wait around for the best part of 40 years hanging around the backbenches, before standing in the most improbable leadership election the Labour left has ever faced, of which he said himself he was just the next lamb to the slaughter? That would be a bit like seeing the love of your life in a bar, but then waiting until she was in her 70s with a husband and grandkids before going up to her and saying hello, would it not?

Honestly all this stuff about JC makes me warm to him too I shall be voting for him now. Never thought I would vote for Stalin though cannot see Jeremy signing 200 execution orders a day somehow.

I'd have voted for Stalin, twice if he asked me. Its not like the election would be anything but rigged anyhow - and by rigged I mean everyone voting for the other candidate could collect their own special commemorative ice pick.

Jeremy Corbyn claims that he wants to help the average bloke but he thinks that immigration rates are OK. Who is he kidding? It's all just political posturing hogwash. Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (10 Jan 2017 1.39pm) Actually in the same day he agreed that a) that the UK could benefit from being out of the EU b) Maximum Wages etc and c) That the UK should manage immigration to protect wages and jobs for UK citizens. Whilst I don't really believe in a Maximum Wage, I do agree with the principle inherent within it, that the disparity of pay is ridiculous when you have CEOs earning millions a year, and people working for them on minimum wage.

I can honestly say I, a) hadn't noticed you had taken a break although when thinking about there was a considerable drop in essay like virtue signalling so I should have noticed and b) I haven't missed you. He is a career politican. What else has he done with his life? Not all career politicians follow the same path you insinuate they do. Some are happy to sit on the back benches and accrue Directorships. Some want power. Some just want to be pretentious, joyless, preachy dicks who know they don't have to work a day in their life. You can judge which category Corbyn is in for yourself. Why wouldn't he do that if could get away with it? The government paying him £150,000+ to promote dubious causes, free bike parking space and the platform to spew out crazy bulls*** whenever he feels like it.

The sack of Byzantium in the third crusade? Don't you mean the sack of Pardew in the transition crusade?

Don't you think it funny that the left gets bent out of shape when you mention Stalinism and Corbyn, yet is more than happy to label Trump a fascist?

Oh you flirt That's your opinion and fair enough. I struggle to understand how, regardless of your political convictions, anyone can actively hate Corbyn. His favourite past times are working on his allotment and looking at drain pipes ffs. He just seems like one of those nice old men down the road who sometimes come out of their homes with ketchup on their collar and their flies undone. Maybe after a generation of political savvy Cameron/Blair types, we need someone like Corbyn in charge to calm everything down

blah blah blah Corbyn isn't addressing the issues blah blah blah Corbyn isn't talking about what people on the street are talking about blah blah blah Corbyn doesn't care about people in this country blah blah blah Corbyn only talks about the metropolitan elite blah blah blah Corbyn comes from Islington blah blah blah Corbyn blah blah (How have I done? Have I filled the airwaves with stuff about Corbyn without mentioning a word of what he's been saying? Yes? Great. I'll leave you my bank details for the fee. See you next time.) Michael Rosen hits the nail on the head.

Take away the fact he's wrong on pretty much everything, his ability to interact with voters is pitiful. Not only does he not reflect any of their concerns, nor does he have any solutions to them. Plus he can barely string two sentences together. Chocolate teapot.

Well where to start! The guys as marxist as they come. Anyone see him on the Andrew Marr show on Sunday? I was listening to BBC Radio 5live this morning on the way to work and apparently even Tories are signing upto the Labour party and putting in a vote for him in the leadership race, along with hard line crazy leftists. Would be hilarious if he won the leadership contest. Labour would be even more unelectable, which serves them right after what they've done to this country. Is he f**k. He's actually left wing, which is unusual for a Labour leader these days, but he's most certainly not a hardcore Marxist by any stretch of the imagination.

I don't know, I don't expect him to win an election, but its refreshing change to Blair, Brown, Millband et al...
